2/28/04 Magic Western...anyone onboard?

I hope they are whiners for your sake Yamahaboy, if not, I'm sure you'll find somewhere comfortable to hang out.

3 things-if we could get away longer this time we sure would. Extra sun sounds like frosting on the cake.

Awesome Epcotlady and Mailman028, upgrades and refunds sound like a good start to a great time!

Due to work/school commitments, we are living dangerously and flying out of Toronto Saturday morning at 7:15 am:earseek: Unless there's a HUGE blizzard, Air Canada has a terrific track record for leaving ontime, so we should arrive in Orlando at 10:03 am. We're being picked up by Tiffany Town Car and being driven directly to Port Canaveral.

On the way home, however ... we've decided to add on a week at Disney's Pop Century! There was a Canadian at-par offer for resort holidays booked with Visa, so we decided to take advantage of it. Our return to the Great White North will be delayed until March 13.:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

Anyone else headed for DisneyWorld?

We are leaving teh 25th and spending two days at Universal, then going to Houston Astros-Atlanta Braves baseball game on the 6th. Staying until the 8th. Figured if we were going, we might as well have a great time.

Due to school, we are headed back home Saturday/Sunday upon our return. School here does the most bass-ackwards way of doing spring break - starts on a Thursday and back to school the following Tuesday...so we can't hop on a cruise for a week during break. So, we have to pull them out of school for a week (well worth it!). Both DD's are straight A students, so I'm not too concerned about them missing too much.

Macker - we are taking a shuttle from the hotel to the terminal, so we are at their mercy as to what time we show up. I'm calling them today to get an idea on what time they run the shuttle. Our best bet would be to meet up inside in the boarding line or something like that. Anyone going to have a cell phone with them? I can call you all that morning to firm up our meet time/place!

After our arrival in Cocoa Beach Friday, I'm stopping by Shirley's place to pick up a packet of info on Key West.

Looks like we will be getting on the road Thursday afternoon at 3PM, so, only 6 more days until the start of vacation!:sunny:

We'll be flying to Florida on Friday, but probably won't get to Cocoa Beach until about 7pm. Still, it eliminates the hassle of flying, driving to the terminal, and boarding all in the same day.

I've noticed on past cruises some people have lime green Mickey paint samples (from Home Depot, or anyone else that sells Disney style paint). They re in the shape of a Mickey head. They've been used as tags for their carryons, etc. It helps spot fellow Dis cruisers in Disney's massive terminal.

We are flying in Friday night and staying at an airport hotel.. Didn't want to chance it. We too plan to be on the first bus to the terminal. If you see a lady with a lime green shirt with 3 micky icons on it, that's me!!!!. We are not flying home until Sunday and are going to spend one day at the parks My daughter and I have annual passes and I want to get one more use out of them before they expire!! Can't be that close to the World and not go for at least one day.
See everybody soon!!

mmmm.....I'm off work today, so I'll have to look around and see what lime-green items I can find for our luggage & especially the carry-ons!

JBIX00--Jon & I will both have our cell phones with us. We plan on using them to hook up at the airport on Friday.

Give us a call Saturday am and we can find each other at the terminal.

I still can't believe that we're in single digits!!!:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

After reading the earlier messages, I scooted over to Home Depot at lunch today and picked up "several" paint chips - all in "Alien Green" of course:hyper: :teeth:

I'll turn these into additional carry-on luggage tags this weekend just in case there are any DISer's in the lineup with us.

See you all soon!

I, too, took off at lunch and went to home depot and got several of the mickey shaped paint swatches. "alien green" was the closest to lime green that I could see - so, I have a bunch of those - but I also got some black and white ones for kicks.

As well, of course, as some "maize and blue" Mickeys... Go Blue!

I guess a trip to Home Depot is on the agenda for us tomorrow too. Alien Green, eh?

I'm having trouble believing that the cruise is a week away!

Will head over to Home Depot tomorrow to look for the green sample.

We are staying at a hotel by Universal, but using disney transfers. When do the buses start going to the port, does anyone know?

  snwwhite: when you see a lady in a wheelchair waiting to board the shuttle -- that is me!! Don't know what I'll be wearing other than a smile from ear to ear but will be with totallytigger and 3 grandchildren. Hope to meet you there. Home Depot is in VT and pretty close to airport. If we get an early enough start - perhaps we can make a side trip for some alien green!! That would be fun and what a great way to connect with other dis board members!! Pesty snow last night and all weekend. Seems like it is mixed with sleet/rain. Not a lot but just plain messy and slippery. It is okay because my thoughts are now on the end of the week which is approaching rather quickly!! See everyone soon.:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc:happy1:

Hi all...

Rather than putting our actual names on the green tags, I think it would be neat to put on our DIS board names instead (for instance... "3 Things") We know each other by those names anyway and it might be a fun way of meeting each other in person...what do you all think???
:sunny:
This time next week we'll be at the terminal waiting to board :hyper:

:Pinkbounc
3 things - brilliant minds run the same - that is exactly what I was thinking and planning to do. Great idea!! See you next week.:wave2:

As soon as we disembark, I'll be headed over toe WDW for a conference at The Dolphin, giving me an additional 4-5 days at WDW.

Thing is, The Dolphin was sold out so my company booked me a room at The Yacht Club. I'm so broken hearted that I couldn't stay in the conference hotel. :p

7 days on the Magic, 5 days in the Yacht Club. My wife is going to be spoiled.

:Pinkbounc  :Pinkbounc  10 on Sunday seems okay with me. This time next week we will be well on our way. What a nice thought. Having trouble sleeping tonight, so got up and getting ready to iron and pack.::yes:: :wave2:

I picked up alien green mickeys today too. Not normally my color, my daughter thought it was hilarious.

The rest of the family is asleep, but here I am, reading the boards. I'm ready.:hyper:
