Can't believe how cold it is up there. Its in the 70's today but was in the 40's last week at night. :scared1: are you planning excursions?? mailman028 dives...mailman028 DW snorkles only........:boat:

i would be happy with a hi of 40! lol.....were soposta get 6-8 inches of snow tomorrow but its allright im a kid and snowblow driveways:bounce: :bounce: some extra spending money on the cruise!!!:bounce: :bounce:

All right, Mailman:bounce: Another Diver!:bounce: :bounce:

DH and I are both certified and desperately hoping to dive in Grand Cayman, but we promised our 7 yr old DD she could snorkel at Stingray City. The diving departs at 7:35 am and is estimated as 4 hours. The snorkel trip departs at 1:00 pm. However, Disney would not allow us to pre-book both since there is "insufficient time" between the two excursions!

We thought we had a plan that could work; DH and I dive, and then WAIT at the pier where the Stingray City snorkel trip departs from. Our DD will be with our Aunt and Uncle while we're diving. They're taking the tender over after an early lunch to meet us and take their air-conditioned bus trip of Grand Cayman (departing at 1:25)

Our only option is to plead our case at the Shore Excursions desk once we're onboard. I'm having a hard time understanding what the problem is ... we're assuming the risk of not making the second excursion, right? We'll be paying for it anyway! Wish us luck ...

We've booked the snorkel excursion to Chankanaab in Cozumel for the three of us. The diving trip is in the middle of the day, and experience has taught us that the wave action on Palencar Reef can be a little intense in the afternoon.

Any other divers aboard???? Anyone booked on either of our snorkelling excursions?

I'm so excited ... :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

Myself, DD 10, & Niece 8 are booked on the sea lion & snorkel tour in Cozumel. Is this the same excursion you are talking about? There were so many to choose from that it can get a little confusing!!

Just wait, after a couple of konch koolers(?sp) everything will really be confusing!!!:earseek:

Hi totallytigger!

We looked at the one you're on with the Sea Lion show, but it leaves the ship at 12:30, so we thought it would tie up most of our day in Cozumel. There's another excursion that's just snorkelling at Chankanaab National Park that departs at 9:45 am and again at 12 noon. That's the one we've signed up for.

Bring on the Konch Koolers!

Hey mississaugamom did you think about a shore dive instead.I've been to the Cayman Islands a few times.Where the ship docks is a short walk to Eden Rock. It's has Very good diving, right behind their building. My buddy Jeff and I are doing that. They open at 8:00am and rent tanks.Just bring your C-card.That way you can be back on the ship by 10:00 or 10:30,thats if you do a couple of dives. Here's their website if you want to check it out.http://www.edenrockdive.com/.Grand Cayman has some of the best shore diving anywhere. If you have any questions please feel free to ask.Mike:crazy:

That website should read http://www.edenrockdive.com/

Don't put the Grand it it.One more thing,if you do anything on Grand Cayman it should be stingray city, you will never forget that. The stingrays are like dogs, very docile. Also the turtle farm is really cool.Mike:crazy:

Just think--3 weeks from today we'll be headed out to sea for fun in the sun!!!(but who's counting:tongue: ) :wave2:

  :wave2: :yo-yo: :yo-yo: totallytigger:judging by the time your message was posted, it is obvious you could not sleep due to the excitement of the 28th rapidly approaching!!! I think that is what happened to me last evening as I started to get into the clothing gathering mode and could not get to sleep. SO EXCITED!

JBIX00 - haven't heard from you in a bit - are you folks just about beside yourselves as well?

More snow yesterday but turned to freezing rain and today feels rather mild but still longing for the 80 degree sunshine. See everyone soon.

Yes, 3 weeks!!!!

Since this is our first cruise, what do you do on the days you aren't at Key West or somewhere? A whole day on a boat? Does it get boring? Does everyone just lie in the sun and read?

Enlighten us...

:boat:

Boring?!?! Never.

If anything, I have to be careful not to push myself too hard.

Sam
