These are the places we ate if anyone has any questions:

Flying Fish (twice)
Coral Reef-lunch
Palio
RainForest Cafe @ AK-lunch
Fulton's
Alfredo-lunch
Yachtsman Steak House
San Angel Inn

We had great meals, good to great service no PS's!!! Crowds were so light we did not need them. It was a good week to be in the Kingdom.:) :Pinkbounc :D :bounce:

I'd like to hear about every place you ate at.

Especially:

Fulton's
Alfredo's
Yachtsman Steak House
San Angel Inn

I'd like to know about Fulton's and your lunch at Rainforest. Thanks!

San Angel was very good but a little on the pricey side (even by Disney standards!) for Mexican food. :D

I will try to summarize what we ate at all the restaurants and why we chose as we did. Please keep in mind we were on the Silver Plan which made expensive choices much easier.

We went to Flying Fish twice because it was easy to get in and when we usually visit in May it is more difficult. We also ate there twice because the food is superb and the location for us staying at YC is great. Our server was Jodi both times - knowledgeable, efficient and very friendly. 1st dinner" crab cakes, tuna tartare, NY Strip, Cobia on Risotto-lava cake for dessert and Rudd Chard to drink for me. Everything was beautifully presented, timed perfectly and wonderful.

2nd dinner at FF: casear salad(huge-could easily be shared), tuna tartare(I can't help myself just love it), NY Strip(ds loves it) and squash ravioli - no dessert. Again, a perfect meal, great service - who could ask for more?

Coral Reef: we only do lunch here. Love having a leisurely break from the parks. After 8 years I can still say I have NEVER had poor service or food. Liz was our server - new and struggling but very sweet. We had lobster bisque, crab cakes(FF were better but these were still very tasty and easy to share), 3 lettuce salad with lime vinegarette - WOW, a flavor burst! DS had catfish with grits and it was delicious - I had mahi, mahi on collards. The collards were undercooked. I sent them back, received an apology from the Chef and a beautiful platter of asparagus, bok choi, mushrooms, etc - way good! For dessert trio of sorbets-pretty to look at and just enough to eat, ds had fudge souffle - too rich for me but he devoured it.

Palio: one of our well kept secrets. Still great pizzas, still great red leaf salads and still great lobster crepes. Michael is our favorite server but he was off and 13 yr. vet Tony did a fine job caring for us. It was 9 p.m., we were tired, wet and starving but not wanting a big meal. It was all perfect and the musicians were as soothing as ever.

Rain Forest @ AK: another lunch we always do. We sit at the bar so we do not have to wait. DS has chicken ques. and I have my usual: chimi cha cha and a margarita. Fast service with a smile and satisfying food.

Alfredo: again, you love it or hate it. We have never had bad service or food and this time was no exception. Mariano appeared smiling, attentive and sweet. We split Calamari(our fav appetizer there) and a green salad. Then ds had fettucine alfredo and I had the gnocci. Next time I will try something new. For dessert a choc mousse and a pink mousse - we only eat lunch there and this time we were not disappointed. More details on my next post.

Yachtsman Steak House is always crowded because many locals eat there, Still, the host/hostess will do their best to get you in if you do not have a PS. My son adores meat, I don't. I can still get a good meal here and it is so convenient. They have a good wine list too. Son had Land & Sea with bernaise for his filet. He all but licked the plate clean. I had a huge spinach salad, crab cakes and tried their oysters rockefeller. I would not get the oysters again only because they are FL oysters and I prefer BC or Oregon ones. John was our veteran sever-not a lot of chit chat but very, very attentive. Desserts with the divine fudge cake and a choc mousse.

San Angel is a regular lunch place for us. I love the quiet and calm in there - especially if its 90 degrees outside. Our server was Hernando who was an older gent. My son thought he was so cool and he kept speaking to him in Spanish. I had the taco carbon which is very well spiced chicken(I am not a chicken fan) in soft tortillas, ds had chicken nachos-way too much for l person, even a starving 11 yr old to eat! As usual the margarita was the best. Service was a little slow and the salsa was not their normal. It tasted like jar stuff. We mentioned this, not compaining, just mentioned and the manager sent over a cheese dip to share. We did not mind the wait because Mom needed a break.

******Finally, the best for last, FULTON'S. We had never been to DTD, never been to Fulton's. We went on Friday evening around 7:30 with no PS. DS had been in DisneyQuest for 4 hours. Hostess said 15 min wait and we could sit in the bar, even eat there if we wished. We entered, got a 'cool' table overlooking the bow. Scotty, our server immediately approached. I did not care for the wine by the glass list but could not drink a bottle. He got a glass for me that was not on the list but something I wanted. We were definitely off to a good start. DS had the calamari-very different from Alfredo's and he loved it. I had a sampler dozen of their fresh, flown in oysters from BC & P.E.I.-NIRVANA!! The house bread is a trio of warm, soft, home baked tasting yummy stuff. For dinner ds had the $45 King Crab Claws which arrive perfectly cracked - he could have shared because it was a huge order but chose to pig out since this was a rare treat. I don't blame him. I had the exquisite Ahi Tuna with bok choi and fresh ginger-I feel guilty saying it was the best I have ever had - even better than Ca Grill. The bar and restaurant quickly filled but Scotty remained ever attentive. DS had cheesecake for dessert, I opted for another glass of wine. This was our best meal, best surprise of the trip and now a "must do".

Any more ?????? Just let me know.
