We ate at MYTHOS and the food was once again fantastic. Try the Flat Iron Steak next time you go, it is so tender and juicy.
I rode Jurassic Park River Adventure and noticed the following: The show doors were open all the time without benefit of the IOATech Golden C-Clamp.
the cetacasaurs, the two little buggers on the left after the Ultrasaur had new skins and the animatronics on the second one made it jerk around like it was having a spasm.
the greenery that moves on the right after you enter the raptor containment area looked new and very green. the CP-24 crash site looks like it has been changed. the part of the boat that has the two little dino's fighting over the shirt looks to be closer to the ride boat as you pass it.
the rest of the ride was the same except to water effects when you are heading toward the T-Rex were not working.
At Dudley Do-Right: we saw the new 5-seat arrangement. there are no seat belts but the seat backs are very tall and much more substantial compared to the old ones. it looks like the front seat is very close to the padding of the log and there is no place to duck so you will get a face full of water in this seat.
Now for Mardi Gras: it rained and we thought it would be called off. The rain stopped at 7:50 and the parade went off at about 8:10 or so. The stage area is great. i did not think i would like it since i have been attending Mardi Gras for the past few years. There is much more room to handle crowd with out blocking off a main street intersection as always happend at Battery Park and La Bamba.
The food and drink areas are off to the left side along the old Hanna-Barbera building. There are beer stands all over the place. The only dissapointment for me was that Monster Cafe had mostly regular menu items. You could get a quarter chicken and some MUD BUGS, but it was nowhere near as extensive of a conversion as use to occur at La Bamba.
the parade did follow the Macy's route and gave you plenty of opportunity to double dip on the bead catching.
Sugar Ray put on a good show and made sure the crowd had fun and was fully involved. For those that left early due to rain you missed a good show.
