We love giving away our unused FP's at WDW so this must be the DCL equivalent (although the recipient ends up having to pay $400 for our RAOK).

I just received an email from DCL regarding this cruise, telling me that I've already completed online check-in but they can still arrange airfare for me and pick me up at the airport. Hmmmmmm.

If anyone would actually READ the info in my res, they would see that I only live ONE HOUR (driving distance) from the port. Good thing it's electronic and they are not wasting paper and postage on this.

Has anyone NOT received their cruise docs booklet yet? 30 days!

We have not received our cruise docs yet, but I am not too worried. We booked less than a month ago. Everything is on line. I completed on line check in and ended up adding the DCL transpo yesterday. We had some friends that were thinking about coming so I held out to see if they were coming. 4 or more and it cheaper to do private transpo.

Still no room assignment but I am sure it will come that week. No really worrying about it for such a short cruise. More excited about checking out the ship, especially the lounges/bars.

I must be suffering brain fade. I momentarily forgot all about living in an airport community - lol. Sure, we'll golf cart over to the airport and get the neighborhood helicopter service to give us a chopper ride to the port.

Oops - I forgot - YOUR luggage probably won't fit on the cart's back seat or storage area!

F&A: Except for those who don't book until this month, docs should at least be in the mail by now.

Just got back from a mini vacay with the kids--gave them Universal/IOA passes for Christmas. Ugh. It was a nightmare. Crazy crowds, waay too many people in too small a space at WWHP--I swear the area felt the size of Toon Town with 500,000 people in it. At one point the wait for forbidden journey was 3 hours! Middle DD loved it though (we waited 82 mins exactly--I set my phone's stopwatch!). Still, it left me longing for Disney and Fast Passes--WDW has it all over USF/IOA for crowd control. Now if WDW would just clue in to the souvenir refillable cups and popcorn bucket....

At any rate, we had no FREE internet at the Rosen Center ($55/night hotwire), so I've been jonesing for the DisBoard. Too hard to read on my iphone!

I WAS able to cancel the Extreme Getaway Package and add back in the Bike Rental and float rental. Took all of 3 minutes on line.

On Sunday we had planned to go watch the Dream leave port. I thought it would alleviate some of Middle DD's fears seeing how BIG it is. Good thing I checked the schedule, as the dream was not IN port. Bummer, as DH and I are from Cocoa Beach and love any excuse to go there and have dinner at Florida Seafood. OH WELL!

Less than a MONTH! Aaack!

That's an interesting (and scary) report about the guests. We just booked a month before the cruise and I was shocked when I saw how many open spots there were for Palo. I was thinking people didn't want to miss out on seeing the dining rooms but maybe it's just a totally different crowd....

I'm with you, it is only a 3 night cruise which means you only get to each main dinning restaurant once. We are not going to Palo for that reason. Plus the ship is probably fairly empty as it is. The price for a VGT Verandah room was pretty low. Only my conjecture. I was more scared by the line for the aqua duck!

We have gone on a DCL mid to late Jan the last 4 years and the ship is usually light with less kids. Couple that with it being cheaper and it screams perfect time for a cruise for us.
