I just looked on DCL website because I keep going back and forth on doing a B2B and there are a huge amount of Cat 5 and up cabins available on our 2-13 cruise, I wonder if there will be any magical upgrades going on. I know they expect people to upgrade at the port but on our last cruise we were upgraded 3 days before our cruise ( our first upgrade experience). I have no desire to pay anymore money when I already have a perfectly good cabin I would sleep in a closet as long as I am on the ship

I'd love to upgrade (since we have a cat 10)...but I figure we won't be spending too much time in the room anyways and I rather spend the money elsewhere

We are getting SOOO pumped!! We're staying in a cat 11 closet & would LOVE an upgrade...but happy just to be on board. We're doing a B2B starting on the 10th, so this 4 nighter is the second 1/2 of our 7 days...maybe we'll luck out on one leg of the trip

We have been lucky enough ONCE to get an upgrade. We are in a cat 11 too. I am keeping my fingers crossed - right now we are in 6001 - doubt we would pay for an upgrade at the port either.

Funny story today. My 10 year old asked "how long for the cruise?" I replied, "four days". He started breathing fast his eyes got really wide and said, "we are leaving in four days!!!!?" Then I had to correct him that our cruise was four days long...not leaving in four days

I am sad not to leave in four days but then I am no way ready.....

Yes, we can see daylight if someone is opening their door - a definite plus!

Hello all, stumbled across this website and registered so I could meet some fellow cruisers. This is first cruise for me, DH and DS (4). Looking forward to escaping WI winter weather. Pictures of Dream are absolutely gorgeous. Still lots of questions and things to plan. Thinking about a Nassau shore excursion to the Ardestra zoo to catch the bird feedings, think DS would love it, and seeing some info on web about doing it on our own for very reasonable. Anyone ever done that before? Can someone elighten us what the heck are fish extenders? How does one know when they have a stateroom assignment?
