Hello all, stumbled across this website and registered so I could meet some fellow cruisers. This is first cruise for me, DH and DS (4). Looking forward to escaping WI winter weather. Pictures of Dream are absolutely gorgeous. Still lots of questions and things to plan. Thinking about a Nassau shore excursion to the Ardestra zoo to catch the bird feedings, think DS would love it, and seeing some info on web about doing it on our own for very reasonable. Anyone ever done that before? Can someone elighten us what the heck are fish extenders? How does one know when they have a stateroom assignment?
Does anyone have any children the same age as mine? DS 17, DS 10, Princess 4.
Is there a fish extender group going on? Might be a fun way to explore the boat.
I am so excited
Funny story today. My 10 year old asked "how long for the cruise?" I replied, "four days". He started breathing fast his eyes got really wide and said, "we are leaving in four days!!!!?" Then I had to correct him that our cruise was four days long...not leaving in four days![]()
I am sad not to leave in four days but then I am no way ready.....![]()

Hi everyone! Just booked this cruise last minute and we are SOOOO excited. Did the 3 day twice last year, once in February and once in May. Is there a fish extender group set up? We did it on our cruise in May and it really added to the experience. The kids said it was their favorite part of the trip-lol. We don't know our staterooms yet, but there are 6 of us coming! Can't wait to hear from y'all![]()

I had sent a message to dis member kamaaina earlier this week who I thought was organizing the FE group. Sadly this is the response I received. Maybe if some people are interested a small group can form before we leave.
Thanks for your message. Only one couple besides your family ever responded for a FE list, so, sadly, we abandoned trying to organize a group for this trip. From other Disney cruises, a few more might join in the next few weeks...but the list still would be tiny.
Add us to the list. We just booked at the last minute. We're bringing our 16 month old son. I admit I wanted to vomit when I booked the cruise because of the cost, but I'm really hoping it will be worth it. Is anyone concerned it will be too crowded? Anyone else travelling with a baby?

Welcome. I looked at availability on our cruise and there is ALOT of cabins still empty so I don't know how crowded it will be.

How do you check the iinventory? I'm hoping the only ones one board are the people here on this thread.....
So we booked Disney transfers out of AKL where were staying the night before the cruise, but now I'm kind of regretting that decision. I've been reading here on the boards that when you take the shuttle you don't get to the port until about 1:30-2. Does anyone know if that's true? I'm used to renting a car & getting there @ around 10:30. True, we sit around for a while, but I LOVE the atmosphere. Oh well, too late to cancel now...I'm not giving DCL $140 worth of transfers back, THEN renting a car, all so I can soak up some atmospher

the fish extenders that we have done on prior cruises are not just for kids- the adults had a bunch of stuff as well.... but I cannot volunteer for this job! I've got sooo much going on in the next few weeks. We are packing, moving, and moving in and unpacking all before we go- and I just can't take on one more thing!!Or I might be CRAZY!!
Tomorrow will be a month til we are on the ship! It's going to be here before we know it! Has everyone gotten their cabin assignments? I have seen on the threads that some people are still waiting and they are on Jan and Feb sailings, I wonder if they are going to get awesome upgrades, I have never heard of it taking so long for assignments, usually 45 days out. I have also seen some people get upgrades on the Dream already, I wasn't sure as full as they are if that would even happen so good for themAlso we are waitlisted for AKL DVC for the 2 night before the cruise, I saw where a couple of people were staying there prior to the cruise, if our dates come through maybe we could do a pre meet-meet
Speaking of that has anyone figured out when and where we are going to meet yet? And also a reminder we need someone to head the FE list, in the words of Master Gracie " Any volunteers? HHHMMMMM"
