The mercury took another nosedive last night.

It's goten so cold out, that all of the thermometers have gone on strike. Last I heard, they were southbound on I-75

I can't believe we leave this ice box in two weeks

Thanks to Rick I have found my way here. Hello fellow cruisers, we will be joining you on the Feb 13th Wonder - me, DH and DS 3yo. We are quite excited. We will be going down to WDW Feb 7th and staying AKL/Poly until our cruise - really can't wait. I can sympathize with everyone about the weather - it has been FREEZING here for what seems like weeks - apparently however it is supposed to get close to freezing this weekend, which is practically balmy!! LOL I can't believe I am excited to see the temperature aproch freezing - sad and definately in need of a Disney fix

Can somebody fill me in on the whole Pirate Night - did you read about it in your docs? I have been a bit out of touch lately, been SO busy with work etc - seems to always happen when you are trying to go on holiday! Is there a Pirate Night? And what's this about fireworks?

I am going to do my best to try and pull together some spring/summer clothes for all of us this weekend - everything is packed away (our house is small so we have to rotate seasonal clothes ).

Scotfan - did you manage to get on an Illuminations cruise - really sorry we couldn't get you on ours - hope it worked out for you.

Now all I need are my docs

From what I have read, the pirate night is on the Wonder now. It is set for the second night (while we're in Nassau). The dining rotations have shifted so you are in the same resturant for the first two nights instead of returning to the first on on the last night. No fireworks as of yet. Disney is saying sometime in February. Let's hope they are ready for our cruise.

I see you're from TO. That is our favorite city to visit. Plenty of things to do for everyone in our family. The kids love staying downtown at the Delta Chelsea and looking over the city at night.

No docs for us yet. Perhaps in today's mail.

Got the docs. Yesterday. Wahoo! No surprise upgrade. OH well!
It beats being in the frigid Poconos for five days.

Welcome DutchsMom! Cute baby! We're meeting on Deck 9 at 3:00 on Sunday. Everyone is getting Alien Green Mickey paint chips at Home Depot. It's an easy way to identify other dissers. If you can't find any, send me a pm and I'll send you some.

Thanks all, we will try and get some lime green heads. I sent DH there a while ago and he came back with 4, in assorted colours, but no 'alien' green as requested - he just doesn't understand *sigh*

So - if the pirate night is the second night, does that mean it will be on Valentine's night while we are on board? I figured they would try and have some type of 'Valentine' theme, but if it is Pirate night that could get weird?!

I am going to try my best to get Palo ressies for Tues night anyway, I have my fingers crossed that DS will like the kid's club. He will actually be turning 3 on the Sat before we cruise and has just 'turned the potty-training corner' so I am hoping he is OK with the club as far as that goes. Can't wait to see everyone - wish me luck trying to find the family summer clothes before next weekend.



PS - I checked the accuweather forcast for the week of the 6th and it's about high 65 and low 45 - hopefully it will warm up a bit, but for me that is great, anything above 'freeze your buns off' is fine with me.

Still no docs here :-( That means a nice treat in the mail next week (I hope) . . .

Hey, we're having a heat wave here today. The temp has crept above freezing (albiet only to 33 degrees). Come on sunshine!!!

Off to go ice skating. Gotta try out my new hockey skates . . . .

Well it looks like there will be quiet a group onboard from the DIS. As the OP (who isn't cruising btw), I must say it is hard to believe that docs are here, and that it is a mere two weeks from tomorrow until you guys depart. Hope everyone has a great journey, washes their hands regularly (read norwalk) and brings home many memories. Don't forget to rebook onboard. Enjoy!

We just bought a new house and I think our second home is at Home Depot because of all the trips we have made there in the last few days. Anyway everytime I am in there I sneak over and snatch a few more mickey's from the paint department. I think I have some kind of addiction!!! I have them in nearly every color.

We are fastly approching single digits as far as how many days till we meet!

no docs yet but i am getting VERY excited i am remembering what christmas was like when i was little! just seemed like it would never get here.

dutchsmommy-we have reservations for palos tuesday night we are hoping DD4 stays in the club. i am a stay at home mom and her only babysitters have been her teenage bother and sister (they will not be with us) here is wishing all goes well.

valentines day will be our 8th wedding anniversary i spoke with disney last week to order room decorations they dont offer the anniversary ones anymore so i went with the bon vogage the lady giggled and said since they didnt have the ones i wanted they(disney) would do something very special i told her i knew about the cake she said yeah we do that too but that isn't what i am talking about. couldn't get her to say anymore.

well i am off to try on my shorts from this past summer hope they still fit

Beth - How did you already get Palo reservations, if you do not mind me asking. We would love to try Palo, but not too worried about which day. Maybe, if they have a brunch, we would do that...so as not to interupt our having dinners with our 2 DSs.

All - I know we are meeting at Scoops at 3:00. Does anyone know if it will be open at that point. If so, pretty good bet we will be one of the families enjoying some ice cream (we are trying to prove that people can in fact live on ice cream alone)

No Docs here in NJ...but there's a chance (if you listen really closely) you'll all here my scream of excitement when they do show up! :thewave:

Rick, here's the Can't believe you guys haven't gotten your docs. yet. Maybe the pony express missed your stop while on their way to the Poconos. We got ours last week after the snow. We're sending you pixie dust .

New Yawka, Scoops will be open as well as the pools. My kiddos don't waste any time hopping in. DH and I will be the smiling parents wearing lime green Mickeys with a tropical drink and icy beer sitting by the pool.

Just got off the phone with my DW. The Docs came today. We booked through Dreams Unlimited, the docs came direct from Disney. I'm gonna try to get home early tonight

That sounds great, Beth. Don't think my boys (DSs 3 and 6) would be big fans of romance at sea

I booked a night at Saratoga Springs with DW right before the cruise and will be doing a couples massage to get us into the relaxation mode for the cruise

dd4 isnt a fan or romance of any kind... those little sensors go off like a four alarm fire hahaha I really hope she stays in the club
