2 1/2 weeks to go and just found out I'm preggers!!

First off, congratulations on your new little one. How very exciting.

I really believe every person is different so what may work for one may not work for someone else. For me, the only thing I could stomach with my 2nd was maple & brown sugar oatmeal. And lots of warmed ginger ale. The thought of these 2 together now makes my stomach turn but it worked for me then. My SIL had morning sickness so bad she was actually hospitalized numerous times for dehydration. So my #1 suggestion is try and keep as much fluid going in as possible. Check with your doctor to see if a sports drink is okay to have - sometimes the salt in those is not good. My SIL did get some relief from those "Preggie Pops" (I've seen them at Motherhood Maternity stores). But she said she also found a bit of relief from just sucking on Jolly Ranchers and ginger ale as well.

However, talk with your doctor, if he prescribed you something that may be the best thing for you... but you probably know that already.

So excited but I can understand how you would not want to be dealing with this on your trip to DLR. Make the most of this trip and let you little know that she was at Disneyland before he/she was even born.

Oh, brown sugar oatmeal sounds so good...but anytime I try to eat anything sweet my stomach makes me regret it later:sad2: Thank you!

The preggie pops worked for me. They sell them at the baby stores. Jolly Ranchers work too. Not sure why but they do.

I second the Vitamin B as well. However do not take it after about noon or 1pm or it will keep you awake at night! I do not think I would take the unisom unless your dr oks it. My dr would say no no no to that.

Make sure you take time to rest while there too. Naps are important!

Hmmmm....naps are the best! I cant handle anything sweet right now but I'll keep that in mind for later. Thanks!

Congratulations! My MS with DS was so bad I lost weight. Definitely stay hydrated, even if it feels over the top. Bring a refillable water bottle with a wide neck opening and you can get free ice water at any quick service window to fill it. Preggie Pops are just hard candy. Zofran is available in a dissolvable tablet if you can't swallow the medication, and definitely add a stool softener with that since as someone else already mentioned, the constipation is hell. My best piece of advice is to take the medication based on TIME, that is, exactly every X hours on the prescription. Nausea is much easier to prevent than it is to stop once it's got a hold on you. Also, high-protein snacks like nuts, granola, or jerky can be really helpful in regulating your blood sugar. Rest a lot, and have a great trip!
