Hi all,

Wanted to get a thread started for this cruise. We just moved from the Magic to this cruise instead.

It will be me, DH, DD (5 when we cruise) and DD (3 when we cruise).

We will also be doing a B2B with the Feb. 7, 4 night after this one!

I have added your thread to the cruise meet list :thumbsup2

Have a great cruise!

Hi!
We just returned from our first DCL sailing last week on the Magic. I convinced DH this sailing was a price I could not refuse!!! So, we booked this sailing onboard. :cool1: :thumbsup2 Thought about booking the other itinerary that went to Grand Cayman and Cozumel, but after experiencing CC, I have to go back.

So far, it is only going to be me, DH, and DD (1, turning 2 at the end of the cruise). We're trying to get others to come along for the fun!

I hope we get a good group going so we can do an FE!

Hi Kristina,

Welcome! At the rate that people are not yet flocking to this thread we may get the whole ship to ourselves - LOL! I am so excited about our cruise already. We had so much fun on the 7 night that we had to sign up for another. And yes, I can understand about CC. After we signed up for Texas we had to change since DH couldn't be without CC. Now with a B2B we will hopefully get 2 stops there (weather permitting).

We didn't do the FE on our last cruise. Not sure if I will do it on this one or not. I never seem to have enough space in my luggage for anything extra. Guess I need to try and plan better. But with having a B2B, we will have to do laundry while on board.

Hopefully we will have more people join our thread soon as well. How was cruising with a baby? Did you make use of the nursery? Our 2 year old didn't want to be in there...she wanted to be in the kids club with her sister so we just did open house times. Hopefully on this next cruise they will hang out there a bit and we will have some adult time :)

Hello all. Just got off the Dream on Thursday. It was our first cruise and me and my husband were so in love we booked this one while on the cruise. We live in miami so it is very easy for us to get on. I can't wait! Countdown is already starting. We are excited cause it will be our anniversary while on the cruise...and even better we will be in Mexico that day!! Sorry I'm rambling.

Add me to the bunch! We are also actually doing a B2B on the 7th as well. Can't wait for a 10-day vacation - never had one that long!!

Hey all! We just booked for this cruise!! I am Molly (32) and my fiance (will be my husband by then - yikes!) is Brett (30). We are big football fans and are looking forward to enjoying Super Bowl on the boat! Let the count down begin! :cheer2:

Cruising with a 15 month old was great! So much easier than the vacation we just took to New Hampshire, which involved a 3 hour plane ride with a 17 month old on our lap! The only downside of the cruise was that she had just started walking 3 days before we sailed so we still had to carry her around a lot. She also loved all the food she got to try and the whole milk on tap 24/7 near the pool was FANTASTIC!

We did use the nursery once, on our sea day, the last full day of the cruise. She loved it! I think she was so happy to see toys that she forgot we existed. I can't wait to cruise when she's 3, and we can better utilize the kids clubs. We plan on trying to use the open house hours more on this cruise.

It will be great for you when DD is a bit older. Our cruise we did in March we had DD(2) and DD(4). On this one they will be 3 & 5 so can both be in the kids club together. We did open house times with them on the last cruise and they loved it. DD(2) wasn't into the nursery - she is a 'big' girl like her sister so wanted to be where she was - LOL!

Welcome aboard! You live in LA - cool! We want to get back to Disneyland at some point. It has been a few years since we have been out that way. I will confess we are not big Super Bowl fans...I am sure DH will probably watch a bit of it depending on the schedule.

Hey! Are you guys doing the late seating at dinner? Or anyone on here? We would looove to have some table mates that we might know ahead of time! It's just dh and I -we're celebrating his 30th birthday so I'd looove any ideas to embarrass him!

Welcome! We aren't big sports fans, so I had no idea. We usually watch at least part of the Superbowl though. How cool will it be to say we watched it on a cruise ship, on our way to Cozumel?!?

How fun!! My fiance is turning 30 next month, it will be nice to have some people our age in the group!

As for dinner, we will be at the early seating - coming from California the time change would make our bodies think we were eating at 11pm, yikes!!

Is his birthday actually during the cruise?

Also, to anyone who is interested, I have read that they play the Super Bowl on the jumbo screen above the family pool, in all the tvs in the staterooms and of course in all the bars - we will also be traveling with another couple our age, who are also football fans - so we are thinking of staking out a few tables in diversions for a good old fashioned super bowl party!! Any thoughts? We also are considering doing a football pool - we did this on our last cruise (last October) and it was really fun - we would just be doing a simple spreadsheet (the kind where you pick a square) so it is super easy and anyone could play, probably $5 a square or something like that. Just throwing it out there!

How many days til we sail?!

We will be 30 as well but we also will have a 2 year old. I wouldn't want to deliberately subject someone to that experience!

We actually talked 1 set of DDs grandparents into coming along, so I have a feeling we might end up with our own table.

Anyone interested in the 5K? I did it on our first cruise. I don't normally like running but I Thought the CC5k would be a decent excuse to get my lazy butt moving. I used an iPhone app to help train for it.

Welcome to the thread! Great that you have an extra set of hands with you for the cruise :) I hope you have the early seating for the meals! That is what we have for ours - our kids will be just turned 3 & 5 on the cruise.

My DH runs. He didn't do the CC5K on our last cruise but is considering doing it for this one.

Less than 5 months to go!

I'm starting to think our ship will be empty! CruiseFish says its around 25% booked.

Glad to see a thread for our cruise next February. This is our 2nd cruise, but the first with our daughters. They will be 10 1/2 and 7 1/2 when we cruise. They are SUPER EXCITED!

My DH and I did a Mediterranean cruise in 2010 four our 10th Wedding Anniversary and just loved it. So we gave the girls the option of a Disney Cruise or Disneyland -- thankfully they chose the cruise.

We are at the first dinner seating, Deck 8 for stateroom.

Thats it for now, I will bookmark this thread and check in closer to the cruise.

Add 8 more people!!! We will be me (36) DH (40) DD (13 turning 14 the day we are i Cozumel) Dd (12) DS (8) DS (19 months) and my husbands parents. Right now we have 3 inside staterooms on the deck 6 booked but are hoping to turn one over to a verandah room.

We will be travelling around 18 hours the day before sailing from just south of DC!!! Really worried about the drive and 3 of the 4 kids fighting:furious: Worried about the baby and his reactions to all of it, and hoping he enjoys his nursery time.

This trip is actually the kids main Christmas present which will be presented in a scavenger hunt sort of way.

We were originally booked on the 4 day that sailed on the 7th with 5 days beforehand at WDW but I just couldn't do it. The price had me stressed OUT!!!! LOL So now after we get off the cruise we are headed to Key West for 2 days since that was a stop on the 4 day we were really interested in.

Now off to planning and hoping more people join so we can get a FE started....did one on the members cruise in 2010 and it was a blast:goodvibes
