1st weekend in March ESPN weekend?

Just saw this advertised!!!! Does anyone know if this time is VERY busy? And just what all it is? Planning another trip for the 1st of the year, BUT test track and some others are closed in Jan.

Well, the weekend before, and following weekdays (Feb 24 - Mar 1) are a busy time with Mardi Gras. The 2 bookend weekends could make for a big crowd that week.

I don't know!! Saw the commercial with all the kids with the black lines under their eyes (like football) then the lady tells the football guy thanks for filling in. My little boy would love it!!! (Can you tell why we always have to stay at All Star Sports???)

The Ultimate Guide has crowd levels of 7 and 8 around that weekend, which can be significant but not unmanageable certainly.

Last year, I was there Mar2-5 and is was empty. This year, with Mardi Gras so close and ESPN it looks to be busier.

I am going to try Universal this year in Early March but will hit DTD for a day.

Usually at MGM. ESPN will be broadcasting live there and will have several athelets, etc there. That park and the ESPN Club willmost likely be the most effected.

I would like to know more information about this as well. My husband is a huge sports freak. I don't think we will be able to go that soon (need to save up money), but it sounds interesting and since DH is not a Disney fan like me, this would give him a nice diversion.

I am going to check out allearsnet.com and see if they have any info.
