1st week of Oct

Any know ever been the 1st week of October? What is the weather and crowds like. We have been at the end of the month for Halloween and both the weather and crowds were great. Wondering if they were the same earlier. Thanks

we where there 1st week of october this year and we thought it was great, weather was ok(rained a bit though). crowds were not bad, we saw lots of people say otherwise, so not sure what they are used to. but we liked it.

We went this past October and the crowds were great. The only crowded day we had was at AK and that is because we went on the wrong day. The weather was fine.... I thought it was so hot considering it was October, then again it is Florida. It did rain almost everyday but not for long periods of time. It was a great time to go and we will go around this time again hopefully in 2 years

We were there that week. POP was booked solid due to the free dining promotion they were running so the buses were sometimes busy. The parks were busy during the afternoon, but we found the mornings very managable.

It was hot enough to swim but not unbearable. I would not want to go with it any warmer for toddlers though; one or two days ds really got warm in the sun as he is not usually out that much. Get plenty of popsicles.

We've been 3 times in Oct. Twice the first week. We were just there this past year from Sept. 30-Oct. 8th. I will say it was busier that when we had been in the past and it was a lot hotter. The times before when we went the weather was great in the 80's with no humidity. However, this past year it was in the mid 90's and was humid. After speaking to a few people from Florida they did say the hotter weather was due to the tropical storm that was there that week. The crowds may have been larger since the food and wine festival was going on and it was the last week for free dining. Two years ago we were there the same week and it was wonderful. I've always said that October was our month because we loved it during that time of the year, however, I've decided to plan our next trip for right after Thankgiving because we would love to see the Christmas decorations.

I would say go for it. I can't say we won't go back in October again.

If you arrive by Oct 4th I think it is value season so the hotel will be cheaper, too.

I love WDW in Oct.

We enjoyed the 1st week of Oct this year...got rained on everyday, but what the heck? It was warm, and I wasn't at work!!! Crowds were not bad at all...MNSSHP was great!!! All the little ones were at the "party things" and every ride was an absolute walk on....no lines!!! I will definately do that week again in the future....possibly 2007.

we went the 4th-10th because of the free dining plan and it was packed!
The weather was hot and humid (mind you im from VT i prefer 70-80's) it was HIGH 80's with humidity from the rain.

i think it was so packed because of the dining....

Would i do October again? Probably not i think we will try November our next trip.

dont get me wrong we loved it all!

It was a bit rainy but nothing that wasnt managable it lasted at most 20 minutes then the sun was out again.

We went the first week in October this year for the first time and it was quite warm. We did get rained on every single day. Not all day but every day at some point.

The crowds, not sure how to really judge them but it was a lot busier than we are used to. I think the free dining did have a hand in that area though.

Would I do it again? Sure, it was fun to go during a different time than the usual.
