***1st Week of December Thread ADR Plans, Park Hours, and dealing with Pop Warner***

You can get the reservation for 4 and try to modify the reservation. It usually comes up :) if not you could take the reservation for 4 and call Disney to have them change it.

Thanks for your response! I will do exactly this.

To follow a recent theme on this thread, I am trying to get more Epcot time and for us that means more wandering time instead of ADRs. I saw last years list of special holiday treats and need more time to sample!

Perhaps when I drop this one you could adjust your reservation to 9 using the 6 I just released? Unless the times are totally different. I'm going to drop it now, hope you get what you need eventually!

I went ahead (and was able) to pick up your party of 6...it's only 10 min earlier than my party of 8. I'm assuming the answer to this is a big, fat "NO", but if I call Disney Dining, can they combine those into a party of 9 for me? Does anyone know if this is doable? Might at least be worth a try.

You can try. The other thing you can do is reduce your party of 8 and make your total 9 between the two reservations. Then when you all show up together, especially if you arrive 15-20 minutes early and explain, they'll do their best to seat you close together at least.

Hi. I'm Barbara and I'm an ADR hoarder. I've tried to let go. Honest, I have .

I have a narrowed a bunch and only have a plan A and plan B. I dropped plan C and plan D. If Disney would just release SE dessert and ROL I would having let go of the extras.

The struggle is real!! :cutie:

No matter how much I plan there is not enough days.... I have 10 park days

That's why there's next year, and the year after, and the year after that, . . . ;) This may be our last trip for a couple years. Our mortgage will be paid off next April. I plan to save those mortgage payments and go either to England/Italy or Hawaii/Australia/New Zealand.

I need this trip to hurry up and get here so I can stop adding things. Pretty sure we are gonna arrive on 12/3 now. I hope availability will open up where I can just extend our existing reservation. If not, we'll find somewhere offsite for the one night or try airbnb for the first time. And of course, since we'll be there all day on 12/4, I reserved a table for Sunday brunch at California Grill. I feel like Christina Yang of Grey's Anatomy. Somebody sedate me!!!!

blown away!

Why thank you! But that's not very constructive. haha. I did see your post regarding HS time and I think I'll change that into 2 half days. Then I'll fill the one morning with Epcot and/or another day to sleep in a bit.

One of my main concerns when I first started a few months ago was that I was making an impossible schedule with early mornings and late nights. Now we get the really early mornings over with early on at least.

I would say one of the things I think is important is not to push your DH too much if he's the type who typically likes a relaxed vacation. ;) although I planned a lot of dining last trip, I didn't plan any actual touring plans. Also, there was no FP plus yet or cancellation fee for dining when we went so we had naps in the middle of the day and cancelled a few ADRs. I feel that with FPs we tend to plan our days much more than before. Although it might be a good thing for some who like to be on the go, it generally is not for some others.

I'm not afraid of Zika, but I am a mosquito magnet too so I generally spray up if there is a chance of getting bitten.

I'm the "loser" that's staying off site :flower1:
I don't feel bad though 'cuz I have connections and paid only $180 for a whole week in a 2-bedroom villa (at a timeshare resort).

I have no plans to go back in the near future. My sister turns 40 next year so we're planning a big trip. There are 3 of us and we did big cruises for the two of us that turned so far. Haven't decided where for this one. I'm pushing for Peru, but she mentioned Hawaii a week ago...

Still catching up on the last few pages. STOP making me feel guilty for no FP+ planning yet!!!!

:hourglass

you are so not a loser! there are so many ways to do disney and different people have different priorities. I stay onsite because I was smart (lucky?) enough to buy into DVC in 1999 when it was a whole lot cheaper and we had a whole lot more disposable income. If not i'd be finding some cheap timeshare offsite or at a value at best. I can be a princess because of a good decision 17 years ago lol.

I had a 4 hour meeting with a customer today. that is pretty much all I've got!

Nice!! :d I'm really excited about that brunch! We're going on the 11th! ;)

:worship:EVERYONE PLEASE HELP!!!!!! I am trying to figure out rough time frames for my FP. We are a group of 10 and will not be using extra SDFP's (I am assuming based on how many we would need at the same time, we wont get any). My family gets up early (not RD), but not my sisters family, so trying to schedule FP later in the day. Most people in the group did not want to hop from one park to another so we basically are at the worst park on each day. I am so stumped and stressed (and with my sisters wedding this weekend, no one is helping me), I make the FP on Tuesday!! YIKES!! :scared:

Please give me input and suggestions and my sanity back.
We are still looking for CRT and 'Ohana breakfast

THANKS

Very good point. We will have some give and take there, as we always do in life becuase we are almost polar opposites. I want to have some planned touring so we can be efficient, but I also want to have some more relaxed touring. I think the planning will taper off throughout our trip. The first day in each park will probably have a touring plan so we are efficient. Then subsequent days will be less planned and we can go back and redo what we enjoyed. But even if we have a plan, we have to be flexible. Things happen, like weather of closures. And with all of this planning, I feel like I'll be prepared to make changes on the fly pretty good!

This is so true. M loves WDW, but also likes some semblance of a relaxing vacation. He already told me that he doesn't want to make too many ADRs. My thought is to talk about the next day before the cut off and let him know what the plan is. If he really doesn't want to do it, I will cancel (probably cry a little lol). I will make FP+, but won't worry about missing out on them if that should happen. I will not do a true touring plan, never have and have always had wonderful trips. I know where we'll be, have ADRs and will have FP+ and then we'll wander. If I told him I had our vacation planned to the minute, our trip would not be good for our sanity and our marriage, but to each his own.

my one comment is that yoru FP+s seem awfully late in the day. Do you know once you use your first 3 you can keep making more? I can see not doing them first thing in the morning when things are more walk on (and due to the early riser issue) but certainly like 11-12 12-1 1-2 should work rather than starting at 2 in the afternoon? but you might want to consider making them a bit earlier in the day so you can make more.

I think for your 7DMT FP+ it will be hard to plan and you will need to take what you can get and plan your times around that. You can make FP+ for SM and BTMRR both easily after the 60 day window so I would see what you get for 7DMT and figure from there. In fact I would say that the ONLY FP+ that is critical for you to get right at 60 days is FEA and 7DMT. within a week I'd have peter pan and the mountains, soarin, TT, TSMM figured out.

touring with a group of 10 is tough.

Quick question on dining plan at the signature restaurant: when you order "steak for 2" from the menu, do they deduct 4 TS credits for this entree? I assumed so but just wanted to make sure. Do you then get 2 separate dessert?

yes they deduct 4TS (you mean the porterhouse for two?) you each get your own beverage and you each get your own dessert. It's just that the entree serves two people so it costs 2 people's credits.

When I was married I would plan but we often deviated greatly from the plan. the ex used to tease me about all of my planning and then I'd switch everything on the fly. With kiddo it is not a good way to go, the more he knows what is going to happen next the better he is. When I took him in 2014 I had the stroller and it was great but he is too big now so I am also trying to minimize extraneous walking. He has low tone and he sometimes tires easily although he did great with his dad so I have high hopes. I would not worry so much if he could just rest when he needed to. I figure at the very worst I can rent one of those honkin' doubles if I NEED to but I really hope not to! what a pain! (I am a mom who NEVER used a stroller except at disney for my child... I baby wore and then made the little booger walk as soon as he was big enough).

Of course my child does want to go go go. There was no break in 2014, he wouldn't take one. he doesn't nap and barely did even when he was younger. That's why I am doing mostly full days with large blocks of rest, once he goes to the parks he won't want to leave til he is done. I am so excited about taking him, I can't believe how close it is getting!
