***1st Week of December Thread ADR Plans, Park Hours, and dealing with Pop Warner***

Try the touring plans tool?
Yep. And my TA is on it, too! Last time we got it on a fluke, but it was a perfect way to start off our surprise trip for the kids. We wanted to recreate that for our youngest two. We've got time.

Has anyone been able to get CRT? I have been on the site, the app, calling in, stalking the cancelled reservations board...There is nothing! One CM at my 180 days said she actually didn't see anything, as in it wasn't loaded onto the system. But no other CMs will confirm that. I know it's one of the most popular places, but there was nothing even at 180+10! It would be nice to stop stalking Disney.

Okay, I'm SO confused!! Someone told me that you could book CRT on the app, and I usually think of myself to be a fairly smart, capable individual, but I can't, for the LIFE of me, figure this out!!!! I had NO idea you could search or book CRT on anything but calling, so this is huge. But I can't figure it out. :(
Can you help?!
When I go to CRT in the app, I don't have a "find table" option like with the other restaurants. I only have "call to book".

Hi everyone. I've been away since Tuesday. Life has shown up a bunch this week. All is well though. I never did update since ADR day on Monday. Here's our plan.....

12/2 - Arrive. Was planning on 12/3 arrival day, so this is just a bonus. Should arrive early to late afternoon. Haven't picked a place to stay yet. Got a 6:50pm dinner reservation at Sanaa.

12/3 - hopefully early check in at CR. Then either go to DS or resort hop to see decorations. Dinner at California Grill at 5:25pm. Watch MK fireworks from room.

12/4 - RD MK. Ride whatever we ride for a couple of hours. Was hoping for ppo BOG. But so far, no luck. No big deal. Hop to Epcot. 1:45pm lunch at Garden Grill. Make FP for Epcot this day. Play the rest of the day/evening by ear.

12/5 - RD HS. Hopefully sign up for Jedi Training. Do FP for TSMM, ToT, Star Tours. 12:50 lunch at 50's PT. Maybe go to room for a bit. Or hop straight to Epcot depending on how we feel. Spend evening at WS. 7:10pm dinner at Biergarten.

12/6 - MVMCP evening. Just sleep until we wake up. Made a 1:15pm reservation for CM. Get to MK at 4:00pm for party. Probably just do CS for dinner.

12/7 - Sleep in after party. Get to AK when we get there. Planning to stay to see nighttime stuff if it is looking good by then. Make FP for AK. Will pick a place for dining. Not sure where yet. No conviction to any place right now, so I'm ok with just waiting.

12/8 - RD Epcot. Test Track. Then FP either Frozen or Soarin. 4:35pm dinner at Hollywood and Dine. May turn it into Fantasmic package if I can.

12/9 - Oldest son's 14th bday. Was planning to let him pick where we go that day. He has several favorite rides beTween Epcot & MK. He's also planning on riding EE for the first time this trip, so he may choose AK. Then we have a 6:15pm Cat 1 reservation at HDDR. Feel pretty strong about keeping it, but for some reason a tiny unsure for his bday. We've never been, so I'm not sure what it'll be like. I hear great things. Just unsure if this has teenager all over it. I've heard lots of people say their teens love it. He does not have major attitude or anything, is very sweet, and up for anything, But, still unsure. Other place I've thought of is Teppan Edo. He likes hibachi grills and this looks fun. So, any input is welcome.

I still have lots of room for more reservations. But, can't think of anything that I need that would be hard. Figure we'll eat at The Wave at some point since we're staying at the CR. Planning to have time to visit and eat at DS. I really just like having enough freedom to be able to reserve must dos, and still be able to get in whatever we're feeling up for last minute. I think this is a good balance so far.

I can't tell you how much I've appreciated my first week of December people! You guys have been so helpful.

I thought you couldn't book on the app but you can on the website.

Oh, I see. I must have misunderstood what they were telling me. I got on the website, and I am able to book if there were availability for my huge party :( Thank you so much. Wish I knew this before my 180 day mark! Not sure why I thought you had to call....last time I went was 2013...wondering if booking CRT online is new since then? Or if I just didn't realize it even then. :/

Here's my next question. I thought getting La Hacienda at 8:15 (so we'd still be there for fireworks at 9:30) would be so difficult. I was able to get that for my party of 9 any night of that week! Which scares me....maybe I'm confused about being able to do fireworks and dinner at that restaurant? Thoughts/suggestions?

You will still have to ask for a window view to be able to see the fireworks. You can let them know at the podium when you check in and it might be a short wait after your ADR.

As for why it's available? I'm thinking Candlight? I really have no idea but the dining packages for Candlelight will all be earlier so either people have earlier reservations or are holding out for the dining packages - that's my guess! Anyone else have ideas?

When are the CP packages being released? I'm hoping they release availability for Coral Reef and Garden Grill then. There's almost nothing for a party of 3 until the 11th!!

your plans have some overlap with ours. we are also at the 12/9 HDDR. You can find youtube videos of the show - I showed a few minutes of one to my son to see what he thought and he liked the idea, then we stopped watching so as not to spoil the show. You can go to hibachi anywhere (almost) but can't do HDDR anywhere else so I would probably keep it if he is interested and show him a couple minutes of it so he can tell if he is interested :) saaaaaaangria.

I am sure there will be!

I actually found availability for our last full day at Garden Grill when I searched for 4 instead of 3. So I booked that ;) now I'm just hunting for Coral Reef dinner and BOG dinner. I also rearranged my plans so we visit AK only during the first part of our trip (while staying at AKL) so we get more time at MK and EPCOT. I feel my dining plans are a little more concrete than they were last week...

Omg...me too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I still haven't booked my flights either hoping they will come down.

If we get a room discount, and I can get reasonable flight fares I will stop stressing over this stupid tour.
Booked mine in april, lucky for me they are higher now.. yet

Yep! Great point about being able to hit a hibachi anytime. You are wise! Cool that we overlap. That's awesome. HDDR really does look fun. I can't believe we've never made it all these years. It'll be a first for you guys too?

I went to it once I think... it might have been on my honeymoon (now divorced) because we were doing "everything" but if it wasn't it was shortly after...we bought APs on our honeymoon planning to return for first anniversary, came back 5 months later and bought into DVC and used the heck out of those passes the first year... that was 1998/1999... so a long time ago. Now divorced but sharing the DVC. Kiddo has never been and I only vaguely remember the show. I remember the flavor of it and that I enjoyed it and I figured since we are doing all MK at the end of our trip and MK closes at 7 for MVMCP on our last day that it would work out well... a little pain getting home with a transfer at the MK to get to the poly but still better than buses and parking and all that.
