***1st Week of December Thread ADR Plans, Park Hours, and dealing with Pop Warner***

I hear you...I am not a morning person either; except when I'm at Disney. I think I have FOMO (or maybe just excitement) because it's not uncommon for me to wake up before my alarm and be ready to go.
We are doing EMH and then EMM the first 2 days; after that we sleep in a little and get to the parks at 9am RD. Towards the end of the trip we'll be tired and will need the extra sleep, I think.
I have a concern about this too now. We're doing at least half of our days early and DS has just started to sleep in later these past few days :faint: I think it's because the sun comes up later but I may have to adjust some of those early mornings. time to take a 1000th look at my plans!

yeah that is how I did my overall flow too. morning EMH the first two nights (with nothing late planned... if it were just me I'd go all out but with kiddo I have to be more careful) and then a couple of 9am RD days and then get there for 10am breakfast.

so I have for night before and next day pairs:
6:45pm Sanaa dinner and nothing else but explore the resort
morning EMH @AK 7:30am

JBJB ending around 7ish, check into boardwalk, explore boardwalk
morning EMH @HS 7:30am

Illuminations, home by 10, or RoL
RD Epcot 8:30am

Illuminations, home by 10
rest day, leave by 9:15am for breakfast

Illuminations, home by 10
RD Epcot 8:30am

evening EMH @MK, leave for home around midnight
rest day, leave by 9:30am for breakfast

MVMCP, leave for home around midnight
late breakfast at MK, leave around 9:00am

HDDR @6:15, home by 8:30
early breakfast at Boma, leave by 7:45am

I think I am matched pretty well. When I went in 2014 we showed up at RD at HS to sign up for jedi training academy... showed up like 5 minutes to 9 and could not believe the crowds, waited 45 minutes to sign up, got the earliest possible spot which was like 2:something in the afternoon, were the second to last show before the skies opened up and poured (we saw the crowds rolling in and left the park). It all felt too close for comfort. Now i will be there a half hour before RD/EMH.

it is hard with a kiddo that age but mine was always raring to go early in the morning (still is). I can have him sleep in now by keeping him up and using the light blocking curtains. December does have the least daylight though of all of the months! :faint:

Update: Transferred to fellow DISer!

Anyone interested in this? I decided to go with the Wishes dessert party instead.

LOL! Mine is the opposite. :P He sleeps a lot, which is basically like me. :P (can fall asleep anywhere) But it does pose problems for me... In any event, I'm planning to get up first to get ready, get DH up and then tale care of DS2 last... hopefully that plan works.

if he can sleep anywhere then how much "getting ready" time does he require? can't you just throw him in the stroller and wrap him in a blanket and go? :)

Haha, no, we give me another bath in the morning. 15 mins for bath, dress up for him. probably need to feed him a little in the morning too while DH showers.

My girls are a bit older, but I've noticed the exact same thing.... They are sleeping a bit later... But still going to bed at their later summer time. I know their " winter" schedule changes a ton. They'll be ready for bed shortly after sunset... I was looking for a 500 Ohana, but I think with EMM and PPOs 400 dinners would be good

my child is up at the "butt crack" (his phrase lol) of dawn. Though if i wear his little butt out he might sleep as late as 8, 8:30 at absolute latest. but it has to be prolonged keep him awake for a couple of days until he will sleep that late. He goes to bed at 8:30 and is up by 6:30 (sometimes as early as 5, I send him back to bed, but lately it's been more like 6:30 so I guess that agrees with you guys only his "later" is not very late). I will be maintaining that schedule with him the first two nights at WDW and then start keeping him up progressively later and hoping he sleeps in longer. the light control really does help.

I'm looking at my schedule and am still wondering what to do... I feel like it should be ok... but it's going to be a roller coaster when we get there... We have 6 early mornings right now- most of which we have to get out of the hotel by 7:15-7:30am... fingers crossed this is doable.

is it possible to get into a routine where you get out of the room by 7:30 every morning for a period of time? that might make it easier but I'm not sure if there are any late nights into late mornings in there.

Geez... I was just working on some revised touringplans now that our macro-itinerary is more complete, so I pulled up the Lines app just for kicks and giggles. Philharmagic has a posted wait of 75 minutes at 11:10 am!! Lines says the expected wait is around 31 minutes, but still. :scared1: It's a non-party day (Monday) in a busy month with a predicted CL of 9. Still... yikes!

I was just looking at wait times this moment too, and I was shocked at how long some rides are ( dumbo?!) . I guess it just shows that you really don't know .. :( i still have one fp for fantasyland to use on our EMM day. I didn't want to use it on dumbo or another ride not really needing fp, but maybe I should...

For those doing SDFP have you seen the recent post about how the kiosks bring up the people in your friends and family list?

I have 3 un-linked MB that I was going to link to phantoms. When I purchased my second set of MVMCP tickets I used the phantoms on my MDE so I could make FP+ selections at the 30 day mark. I was going to create 3 more phantoms to link the MB. Now I think that I should created a separate MDE and link the bands under that account.

Is it worth it to try and make 2 sets of SDFP?

is it possible to get into a routine where you get out of the room by 7:30 every morning for a period of time? that might make it easier but I'm not sure if there are any late nights into late mornings in there.
First few days are definitely like that and it gets messed up by MVMCP. Then 2 days of late mornings because of late nights then the end of the trip seems more all over the place. Whenever we have early mornings, I try for a nap in between though...
