***1st Week of December Thread ADR Plans, Park Hours, and dealing with Pop Warner***

HDDR seems like the kind of thing you do on your 5th visit to wdw or something. I'm still enthralled enough with everything in the parks that I'm not ready to start looking for other shows or entertainment to squeeze into our already-packed schedule. It's not that HDDR sounds boring or like something we wouldn't enjoy, it's just that we don't want to do a lot of traveling around wdw for entertainment when there is so much inside the parks that we STILL haven't experienced, kwim?

I agree, the time was the main factor for me too. Pus I watched a video of it and I'm not even sure it will keep our attention as 2 young adults.

I didn't have time to look at reviews yet, just menus and prices. Flying Fish could be an option for us also as a signature. I did watch the review video a little while back when it reopened. I think I want to get at least 1 signature meal in there.
I feel that even if a signature takes time, it would not take as much time as HDDR (I plan to eat quickly like usual :P)

I think it may be a good choice since it's very close to the parks anyway. I saw the video from Dis Unplugged and read a few reviews on the dining board and it seems to get really good reviews. :)

That makes so much sense! I should cancel now before someone or something else convinces me otherwise :rotfl2:

Agree. Or for those who can schedule a pretty long trip. It would be a good thing to do on a non-park day since you do not have to enter the parks to do it. Since I'm squeezing in Universal and WDW in 10 days, I don't have a long enough trip at WDW it seems.

We have 10 days as well, all at wdw, but I still don't feel like I have enough time to add it. Of course, part of the deal for me is the price (family of 6 - mostly a blessing except when it comes time to pay the bill!). We're on the dining plan but I don't think it would be a good use of 2 credits... then again...:scratchin

I just checked and Flying Fish has pretty decent availability, which is good news for me. I'm not nearly firm enough in my plans to reserve anything yet though!

I agree, the main reason why I'm thinking of letting go of HDDR is because of how much time it takes. It's mostly because I'm not sure my 2 year old will be entertained for so long. I was thinking of Le Cellier since it's inside the park... but was a little worried because of how cramped people say it is in there... I have Garden Grill, Coral Reef and Biergarten in my plans already. I have Flying Fish as well... Hmmm...
@Candycane83 i am no expert, but does your little guy like pizza? I did read that via Napoli was really good

I have 10 days... technically 9 days since we leave at 10:30am on departure day... Still not enough time... :rotfl: I was tempted to extend more but the magical deal I got was only good until the 12th so I couldn't move my departure date even if I wanted to.

Okay, I seriously thought about HDDR for about 30 seconds, and then remembered how torn we all have been about keeping our dining plan upgrade or not because of how much we are loathe to spend so much time running off to eat at restaurants! So HDDR would definitely not go over well with our crew.

True! I remember they prefer riding than eating! LOL! I should have thought of why I initially never had it on my list... oh well, maybe next trip...

He would eat a little of it but it's not really good value on the dining plan.. :scratchin We also ate there before and DH was not too impressed... :confused3

I had Via Napoli on my radar and I do think I would like it, but I saw someone on a Via Napoli thread comment that they didn't care for the fresh mozzarella on the pizza. He/she said they prefer shredded because that's what they're used to. I can totally see that. We love pizza, but it's usually Pizza Hut or something along those lines. I'm afraid the "good stuff" wouldn't necessarily taste that great to us since it would be so different from what we're used to. That would probably be even more the case for my kids than it would be for me. I think I'll be fine if we don't make it to Via Napoli this time, though I do hope to get a chance to eat there some day.

Oh, about the pizza discussion, I'm so anxious to hear about PizzeRizzo! I'm trying not to get my hopes up, but the success of Blaze Pizza in Disney Springs has made that difficult. I do hope they don't go with the same flatbread pizzas that are found all over the place. Those are awful! I'd love it if PizzeRizzo could be something along the lines of Blaze. Seems like it would be a huge step up over what Disney traditionally offers... which makes me think it won't happen.

I am eagerly waiting for Pizzerizzo too. We always ate at pizza planet, so I don't even care if the pizza is good (we are used to it)!

Would love to see what they do with this but in terms of food, I dont think I can expect anything like Blaze... :P Are you planning to pass by Blaze by any chance?

I do hope to go to Disney Springs on one day, but I think we'll be heading there right after we eat a late breakfast at Boma, so I doubt we'll be hungry enough for more than a snack. Ds15 is anxious to get back to WPE again, so I'm not sure what we'll do or where we might eat.

Thanks again.
We are looking for a late breakfast on Dec. 6th for Ohana.

I can not wait for her wedding, it's too much work! Lol. It is really fun, I love planning and anything with weddings (I actually work for a wedding photography studio), but FP is 3 days after her wedding and I am the one who does all that planning and scheduling too.
i don't know the details of this but i have a 10:50 on 12/8 for 2 if htat helps. probably not I think you have more than 2 (and of course wrong date). but let me know if you want it :)

I never found le cellier to be cramped and i have a big butt. I'm from nyc so maybe the spacing of tables isn't particularly generous between parties but... I dunno. I love it, just no time for it this trip.

we are doing it as our last night treat. I can't imagine really taking time out of actual park touring time to do it but for our last 3 days we are exclusively at MK while we stay at the poly and friday night is a mvmcp night that we are not attending, I need to be back in the room so I can pack, MK closes at 7 so the 6:15 HDDR seemed like a great finale to our trip. we will take the boat directly there from MK (transportation is also a big issue with HDDR) and then back to the MK to transfer to monorail or boat to poly to come home.. figure we'll be home by 9ish and I can pack and we can chill on the balcony (lake view) and watch holiday wishes from the room for the last night.

I like both (and I like pizzas that have both). if you've ever eaten a more gourmet pizza you may have had it already without realizing it.

that said pizza is one of those things that I just don't do at disney. to many other interesting disney things to eat, lol. but I am also not doing any qs - I might be tempted to try pinocchios flatbreads if the mood struck me.
