***1st Week of December Thread ADR Plans, Park Hours, and dealing with Pop Warner***

you know, I am not sure I changed it when I added on the friday travel day. I need to do that!

I spent 65 days checking MDE probably 50 times per day for reservations, I never want to repeat that hell!!lol

This will probably be my one and only time that I actually have the 180 window since I had to book the cruise in advance. So hoping to get the perks of that!!!

I spoke earlier about Garden Grill, and your mention of bread (even though it's pudding) reminded me- on the GG lunch menu it doesn't show the rolls.. Are those not included at lunchtime?

I'd be shocked. I think they are going to a same price same menu lunch and dinner format. I did read somewhere however that to cut back a bit they are no longer bringing bread by default. you have to request it. I WILL request it lol

Princess meal, etc. She said "I want to go to the kids club".
So we can book that on the phone at 180 days I'm guessing? Anyone have experience with Lilo's playhouse and Sandcastle club? She wants to do this. I'm thinking....DATE NIGHT! Now I have to figure out what ADRs I want for that too! Kids, eh?

Our grandson is at the Sandcastle Club tonight while mom and dad enjoy a date night at Narcosse's. All I know right now is that Narcosse's is amazing. Our daughter sent pictures. Now I want to eat there.

I'll let you know how our grandson liked the Sandcastle Club.

I am seeing a lot of threads on the restaurant board complaining about not getting the ADRs they want. I was just thinking that this is so funny that I am able to get reservations easier at Michelin star restaurants or an exclusive 8 seat restaurant at Las Vegas with less problems than Disney!

LOL I only had to call one month in advance to get reservations for a hot restaurant in NYC. However, I am putting good vibes out to the universe and if even we don't get the ADRs we want on ADR day, let's trust that we will eventually get what we want and we will still have a great time and a full tummy!

I notice the date on the bottom of each page says it was updated in January!! LOL

Hopefully they'll fill in more of it here in a couple weeks when they do their regular monthly TA calendar update.

Well - it's different from the December 2015 Calendar - so we know it's not just copy and paste...

One thing that is wrong on it is that they show Typhoon Lagoon being closed for refurb, but it's Blizzard Beach that will actually be closed in December. Yeah, I can believe this was the calendar they first put together in January and then no one has touched it since.

it's also deep in free dining time. People can be on free dining and there the week we are but they need a pretty long trip for it to affect the whole trip. Even with free dining i'm guessing most people don't stay 2 weeks. It should not be as hard.

okay I have a dumb question. On the nights of the MVMCP they still have fireworks, yes? What time? I'm thinking of booking a Narcoosees reso for one of those nights and watching fireworks from there.

Yes Holiday Wishes and it is usually 9:30pm.

Ok so I again rearranged my plans for my first 4 days with DxDP. (me, DH and DS2) Let me know what you guys think... I'll sprinkle a little more character dining on the 2nd half of the trip to make it up to DS2, LOL!

Dec 3- going to AKL from Universal around early afternoon
Dinner- Tusker House (hoping for ROL package)

Dec 4
Brunch 10am- California Grill (I got swayed by a review I read and DH seems to be interested as well)
Dinner- Minnie's Holiday Dine (F! package hopefully)

Dec 5
Breakfast- Akershus or Garden Grill
Dinner- STK

Dec 6- moving to CR
Lunch- Yak and Yeti or Sanaa (OOP)
Dinner 7:30pm- Narcoosee's (hoping to catch Holiday Wishes)

How was availability for Cali Grill brunch? Was it tough to get? I'm really hoping for this when my 180+10 opens.

California Grill brunch looks SO good but I wouldn't go because I don't like giving up morning touring time unless you're using it as a break?
I would think Garden Grill would be an easier ADR to get than Akershus. (I honestly would prefer Garden Grill just based on food but DD wants Akershus for princesses).
What's STK?

Looks good and apart from Akershus I think those ADRs won't be too difficult to get!
