***1st Week of December Thread ADR Plans, Park Hours, and dealing with Pop Warner***

I have the same story, DH thinks I plan too much, change my mind too much and he's only seen my dining reservations and he freaked out. Lol! I plan to have a solid plan and just drop things if needed.

Well, now I've scored dinner reservations for 4 on two different nights at H&V: 11/28 (Mon) and 12/3 (Sat)! Now we'll just have to see on which night I find a reservation for 2 to complete our table. :D

Good morning, all!! I was thinking about how soon it's coming this morning! It feels like I just made my adrs (aaaand now still trying for one more!! Funny how that happens ! My last "one more" turned into a "never mind, changed my mind!". ..... ( but really , this new one more is the last one :thumbsup2) and now it's fp time! That means the amount of time from making adrs to now is the same amount of time we have from now until our trip!!!! Too much thought into this?!

Oh! And were you guys referring to the mvmcp last night? Well, dec 8 is now 6 tickets closer to sell out because we bought ours this weekend!!:santa::banana::cool1:

Our top fp!!
Mk - 7dmt, splash mountain, btmrr, haunted mansion
Epcot- fea
Ak - safari, flights of wonder and still not sure.. Maybe lion king. I can't decide if my girls will love or hate dinosaur

Wooohooo!! :cool1: Congrats on the tickets!! @Lisa F and @areno79 and @LBlovesM&WDW and I are all in 12/8 party too!! :)

AK lion king or character spot are my choices for AK since there is not much choices ;)

Assignment #2:
Assuming everyone will have at least one day in each park, what are your top 3 FP+ for each park?
Well I am not doing AK but here's my top 3 FP+
MK: 7DMT, Rapunzel, Enchanted Tales with Belle
Epcot: FEA, Spaceship Earth, Imagination (I am assuming RD for Soarin)
HS: Toy Story, Star Tours, Voyage of Little Mermaid (assuming we are skipping Tower of Terror and Rock n Rollercoaster

@Candycane83 which characters are at the character spot??
And I think I may add the rapids ride. I think my girls might like that. Speaking of water rides, has anyone been to any of the splash areas in the parks? I saw the water play area at mk and I think we'll be stopping there. But I did hear there are some at Epcot? Are they any good? Or not really... My kids just love them. I don't really want to waste time there, but I'd want to prepared in case we see them!!

i am doing the safari, it's tough to be a bug and lion king. kiddo really does not want to do everest again. he said he would do it for me but I don't want him doing it do it is off the list. we will do dinoland during early entry then a 9am fp+ for tough to be a bug (though probably won't need it!) then 9:45 Tusker House, 11:30 flights of wonder, noon Safari, then Rafiki's planet watch (have read mixed reviews on this but at the very least kiddo will love the petting zoo area) then the 2pm lion king, then check out the Tigers and bats in Asia before 3pm Yak & Yeti and that is probably all I'd want to do there. if I could fit it in while I'm in the area I'd do nemo bit not going to walk all the way there for it. we will take some time to just walk around and see animals I guess. I need for characters, that's what tusker house is for!

i have never done kali river Rapids. might make the FP for it on case it is, warm but don't want to walk around soaked and I have heard you get very wet.

Anyone know what's going on in Epcot today? I just looked at wait times for rides and many of them say "temporarily closed" including:
Soarin
TT
Spaceship earth
Mission space
Figment
Ellen's

That sounds like a really nice plan. I'm torn about some roller coaster rides at the parks. I'm sure lots have this dilemma. My 6 year old can ride them; my 4 year old will be about in inch short for some of the big ones.( still wearing sneakers). I do think my six year old would love Everest and space mountain, but i think she will talk about them, and I will feel bad for my 4 year old. She is VERY sensitive about age and not being big in general....I feel like it's just best to avoid until they're both old enough ( 5 years or so when we return).

Btw... What exactly is rafikis planet watch?

Dinosaur is a scary ride for young kids. Unless they changed it during the planned refurb, there are several places where it goes totally dark. And then there are huge dinosaurs roaring at you. And it is very rocky and bumpy.

Right across from Dinosaur is a ride that is just like Dumbo except that you are riding in dinosaur shaped cars. The boneyard playground is there, too. Those two things seem to be fun for young kids. :)

Kali river Rapids is a good choice if it's warm. My two year old is not tall enough to ride so it's off my list. For character spot, I think it's minnie and mickey in safari gear (together I think?)
EPCOT, @Wood Nymph mentioned that there is some shooting water but for the life of me, I can't remember where. I need to double check my spreadsheet later.

That is really good to know. I used to love the dinosaur ride in Epcot. Is that still there? It turned into Ellen I think?

My problem with coasters is that my two year old will not be tall enough for any of them... maybe barnstormer if he grows a little more. :rotfl: he's a little shortie like his parents! But this trip, we will minimize that and just concentrate on what he could ride. This is probably why I'm not too concerned about getting a 7DMT FP... if ever, we would try to do rider swap for most rides at Universal, and in WDW, it would just be 7DMT, Soarin, Test Track and maybe single rider for Everest at night.

kiddo loves roller coasters but did not like everest... it was too intense and goes backwards for part of it. he loves the kiddie coaster primeval whirl which is why we are going to dinoland first, he can ride that and dinosaur more than once. he loves space mountain and likes btmrr and splash and 7dmt and barnstormer (which is a coaster for the Littles in MK). maybe you can split up and someone can take the 4yo on the smaller coasters while the bigger one goes on the big coasters. we also will not do rnr
