I think you need to show up at least a half hour prior. I think an hour prior might not be enough - main street curbside will already be full by then. I seem to remember just barely getting a spot a bit over an hour prior in 2014 for MNSSHP. This is first parade. I am considering riding rides during first parade, seeing wishes and then planting for a spot for the second parade.I'm doing MVMCP on the 6th. I'm wondering how late I can push showing up for the parade - which is really my main reason for doing it - to have a reserved spot so I don't have to spend an hour staking out a spot, and I've heard the parade viewing spot is premium. I'm guessing the viewing spot will be reserved right up until the start of the parade, but the crowd might be so thick we would need to arrive sooner just to be able to reach the viewing area. Anyone have experience with this?
let's think positively and assume there WILL be a party and we're all going to get it... we should do some sort of meetup there or something. But... I may be drunk. lol.SW on 12/3!!! That's the night for me.
Or 11/27 and 12/4 also fit into the schedule.
I booked the regular wishes dessert party for 11/30.
If they don't extend the EMM in MK, I'm considering adding a second MVMCP for a second night. We have tickets for 12/1 with Dinner at CRT at 7:00... Yes ... I know I know the dinner will cut into our party time. Bit my kids have no problems staying up way. LOL. Which is another reason I'm considering a second party night ..... or maybe Illuminations dessert or maybe just a day at the spa for me.
Awesome information! Thanks!@pigletgirl Here's some timing info. We're attending on 12/9--so excited!

EMM(Early Morning Magic) in Fantasyland..... the three rides and breakfast. You get 7DMT, Peter Pan and Pooh... other have reported tea cups, carousel being open as well. The rides are exclusive to the party from 7:45am to 9am. There is a buffet breakfast from 8:00am to 10am. Reviews have been extremely positive! Riding all those rides 10 times each and more. The reports say it limited to around 250 peoplelet's think positively and assume there WILL be a party and we're all going to get it... we should do some sort of meetup there or something. But... You guys are making me want to rearrange my plans to do the SW dessert party on Dec 3!![]()
Yeah, I have never been interested in H&V before even when my kids were younger. Other than Sophoa, my kids never really got onto the characters so there was no reason to go. This year the H&V F! reservation was the first one made, even before CRT! We just can't resist going to see the Fab 5 in Christmas attire! Especially that Santa Goofy!people do but I think it is because their kids are super into Disney Jr. @Mintycake is taking hers for that reason. Also I think the breakfast buffets are a different story. I'd go to a convenient one even if I was not THAT interested in the characters because I love breakfast and I love a variety for breakfast (I never know what to order when I have to order from a plated menu and I always get irritated when bacon is an add on item for a ridiculous amount of money lol). If I wanted a PPO at HS I might endure the disney jr characters (maybe). I think both of those reasons are why mintcake is going and I approve. I know she feels SO much better knowing I approve lol.
Just about every character buffet gets better reviews for breakfast than lunch and dinner. The foods are just a lot more univeral and harder to screw up. If the eggs are too runny or too hard who cares? have another mickey waffle and a pile of bacon. ahhhhhh. I think those are good without fail everywhere on disney property.
Yes, I don't understand this. I keep hearing attendance is down, but yet everything is booked. do the locals have THAT much impact?I keep reading that attendance is down and Disney is cutting prices. however, when I look into our hotel which is the contemporary garden wing it is fully booked. I also don't really see a lot of ADR's open. Is Disney just cutting costs in other ways and charging for extra events instead of increasing deals or lowering prices?
I don't care that much about the mine train. I will do it once with FP I think. It's just one less unknown for you to have to worry about!!!!
Meanwhile.... I'm trying to fit it in on either 11/27.. (which would mean dropping my BOG lunch) Or 12/4 .
the line for santa goofy at the christmas party apparently starts even before the party. I have read around 5:30! no way for us. So I feel like I am saving so much time just doing the meal, lol.Yeah, I have never been interested in H&V before even when my kids were younger.
