We are wanting to go back to DL again this year but we want to go at a least crowded time then we went last year. Last year we went Dec. 11-17 and we had the Christmas Breaks for school crowd to tell with our last days. So we would like to go the First week instead. But... we are now trying for baby #2 and so we might go when the baby is like a month old. Is there a good time in Feb to go or not to go?

The week before Xmas week is my FAVORITE time for DL. I love the holiday time. We went on the 16th (so just before your trip ended) and stayed until the 20th. I think the crowds you saw were more due to the weekend landing on your final days as we were there during the weekdays the next week and the crowds weren't bad at all. So, if you can plan for the weekdays the week before Xmas, that would be ideal.

February is nice too as long as you avoid any of weeks with president's birthdays. A lot of schools take the whole week off now, making those entire weeks busy. As far as whether to take your one-month old or go when you're very pregnant, I'm not sure which would be more difficult. Either way plan for a relaxed trip with lots of breaks and a close hotel.

Good luck with baby #2!

both are great times crowd wise.

I would pick early December because you are less likely to be in your third trimester (making all the walking difficult) and the posssibility of rain. In Feb the odds are you will be very PG or like you said, toting a newborn around. We always go in early Feb and it either rains right before, during or after we are there. It is the rainy month here. Plus the Christmas decorations are so very beautiful and not much is going on in Feb. Good luck on the new baby and planning a trip to DL:)

If you go the first week of December you might have to deal with the candlelight procession crowds, but it will look SO pretty with all the decorations. The beginning of Feb will probably be quite empty?

If you can get a nice weather week in Feb, I vote for this. However, Feb can still be kind of cold and rainy, and toting a newborn in the wet weather can pose challenges. Not saying that this is a reason not to go, just to plan for the possibility.

Whatever you decide, good luck!
