1st-week-Oct-which resort are U staying at?

We have a split stay Yacht Club (Alamo sweepstakes) and SSR 10/8 -10/15. The first 4 nights/5 days are covered under the Alamo sweepstakes and we decided to stay a few more days. :cool1:

MNSSHP 10/6 w/dinner at LTT. Wish we could of gotten an earlier PS.

Hey Skiwee, I think we were at the Poly at the same time last year for the Halloween Party.

We are going sep 30th-Oct 9th, staying at Port Orleans French Quarter, going to MNSSHP on Oct 6th(our 4th anniversay), and also eating dinner at the LTT before the party.

Question: Is eating at LTT a speical thing to do and why?
Thanks

Skiwee, Yep, that was us! HAte that we'll miss y'all this year, we're booked at the WL for the 6th-9th.

Staying at Pop from 10/1 to 10/8- first time at Pop.

We aren't doing MNSSHP this year, but we'll have Halloween decorations up in our window.

Looking forward to seeing some other DISers! :cool1:

:cool1: :cool1: I am so excited :cool1: :cool1:

DH, myself and 4yr old dd will be at CSR from 9/30 to 10/10 - this is our longest trip yet and our first MNSSHP. I am still undecided whether to do the 2nd, 6th or 7th though - I have to make a decision soon!!!

I envision nothing but green wondering around the parks. Who else knew that you could go past the 4th to still get free dining as well as take advantage of food and wine, MNSSHP, and the great weather. I know it will be crowded which is why we are taking a trip - esp because it was so cheap.

Who wants to meet me at Siesta's for a margarita and nachos in October, raise your hand!!!!

not that I know of, but we have never eaten there, and since if you eat there at the right time, you dont have to go to other parts of the park when it closes, you just sit and eat instead of waiting for the park to re-open.

WOW, so far I think I've counted 9 of us at POR the first week of October! :cool1:

WOW, alot of us going so far! I see the dates for MNSSHP - are you all going the 2nd, 6th? Has anyone ever been before? I assume we need to bring costumes for kids? Any advice on MNSSHP?
We'll be there on Oct 2. Yes, you should bring costumes for your kids and for yourselves if you want. My whole family has dressed up for two of the parties that we went to and one year only the kids dressed up . It was definitely more fun when DH and I dressed up also.

The only thing special about LTT is that it is a character meal and the characters are dressed in their Halloween costumes. The first year that I went to MNSSHP I thought I had to have a PS for a restaurant to get in the gates before 7:00, I've since learned all you need is your ticket and you can enter after 4:00. However, I've read on these boards that you are not allowed to enter between 6:00 & 7:00 when they are trying to get the "day guests" out of the park.

Hey, we're checking at POFQ on Oct 4!! :cool1: I've booked us at MNSSHP on the 6th, with a PS (adr?) at 5 at LTT - thinking it will help make the start of the evening 'special'!! Its our first time - my mom and DD will be celebrating bdays that week!! I cant wait...

DD will have her Princess Aurora Costume, I'm thinking of coming up with a "Queen Mum" outfit, Dh is thinking of dressing up now too!! :rotfl: not in tights, so dont think we'll see him as King Stefan!! :rotfl:
