1st Week in December ~ Who's Going?!

I just found this site a couple of days ago and have been reading everything!! I booked our family's FIRST trip to WDW for 12/2-12/7, staying at Pop Century. We're trying to keep it a secret from ds (8) and dd (13) till Thanksgiving.

We didn't splurge on Park Hoppers so I planned where we'll be & made the ADRs. Our plans, so far:

12/2 MK - Crystal Palace, dinner
12/3 AK - 1900 at Grand Floridian, breakfast (maybe DTD-Paridiso 37, dinner)
12/4 Epcot - Rose & Crown, dinner (hoping to get patio seating & watch fw)
12/5 MK - Chef Mickey, dinner
12/6 HS - Scifi, lunch & Mama Melrose, dinner
12/7 Downtown Disney??

I am SOOOOO excited!! My dh doesn't seem so excited so I've been driving everybody crazy at work, talking about Disney non-stop!! I've got pins for pin trading from eBay, eating mini M&M's so I have the tubes to hold change for the penny presses, making my packing list, got $5 backbacks for family at 5 Below to use in the parks & on plane, going to make a scrapbook journal, looking for Disney stuff at Walmart & dollar store to make up goodie bags for the kids, & reading all the great posts on this site!!

We're planning on getting the family the "first visit" pins but we're also going to celebrate dd & my birthdays one of the days. We're not actually there on our b-day, so no free tickets but we're both Dec babies so we're going to celebrate!!

Since the new package deal came out, I was playing around to see if it was a better deal for us, and according to Disney reservation website, there is NO availability for Mods or Values that week!! Can that possibly be right!?

I expected free dining (and now the 7 for 4 deal) would bump up the crowds, but I am shocked that all those resorts are booked.
I'm worried now that the crowds are going to be awful.

What do you guys think?

This happens all the time with the free dining promotion. When I went the last two Septembers with free dining the value resorts and moderates were saying they were all booked up and crowds still weren't bad. I think we will be fine.

Count me in on this thread. Myself, my DH my BFF and her DH are all going to be at WDW December 4th - 12th. We are staying at Pop Century. This will be our first time at the parks during the Holidays and I am SO excited!! Hope to run into some of you there.

My sister and I are taking my boys (14 & 15) 11/29-12/5, and staying at Pop. We cannot wait!! Just praying that the crowds won't be bad!

We'll be at CSR from 12/1-12/8....doing MVMCP on 12/3 This is the first time we are going for the Holiday season and we are all super excited about it. This is also a B-day present from my DH, DD8, and DD6.

Me and my boyfriend will be there Nov. 30-Dec. 7 2009 for our very first time! We will be staying at Port Orleans Riverside. We have all our ADR's made.
Here's our itinerary:
Nov. 30-Arrive, eat dinner at the Boardwalk
Dec 1- Epcot Dinner at San Angel Inn
Dec 2- Animal Kingdom Dinner at Rainforest Cafe
Dec 3- Epcot Dinner at Teppon Edo
Dec 4- Hollywood Studios Lunch at 50's Prime Time Cafe
Dec 5- Downtown Disney Dinner at Planet Hollywood
Dec 6- Magic Kingdom Lunch at Liberty Tree Tavern then Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party
Dec 7- Some morning touring at Magic Kingdom, lunch at Grand Floridian Cafe, then we leave

I can't wait, just a couple more months!!!

Hello everyone! I just found this thread and wanted to add that we'll be at WDW in December too! We will be there from Dec. 2 - 9 staying at the All Star Movies. We are celebrating my twins 8th birthday on Dec. 8th. We also have tickets to MVMCP that night. I am SOOOO looking forward to this trip! I love Disney at Christmas time! It is the BEST time to visit, IMO.

I will be wearing my LGMH in honor of the DIS boards, so if anyone sees me, please stop and say hello!

We will be there in November for a large family (reunion) vacation. Then, from Dec 2-5th it will be just DH and I. My in-laws are taking our kids home a few days early so we can have a few days alone.

I've never been to WDW with the holiday decorations up, and I'm so excited!!

We planned on spending Fri the 4th at MK, too. Now they say taping is going to be on Thursday, too. I don't really want to change all our days around, so I think we're just going to hope for the best. I also hope that people will be going to the MVMCP that night, so they might go to another park during the day. Who knows...I'm sure it will help to get there early that day and maybe avoid the taping areas as much as possible.
