First, let me say that I LOVE this board. I usually just lurk and have learned SO MUCH!!

Now, with that being said...We are taking our 1st WDW trip as a family - DH, DD4, DD20months and me the last week in April and I can't wait!! I have planned and planned for about 2 months - have all my PS's set up,etc. This trip is paid for (thank you tax refund!), but the more I look on this board the more I wish that we could go again in October or December. So my question - how do so many of you afford to go on multiple trips? I would love to go back during MVSHP or MVMCP (Don't know if I got those right or not!) Someone - tell me how you budget it!!! Thanks!

I think the issue with us crazies is that we MAKE it work. Someone people are lucky enough to have disposable income out the wazoo, but most of us want/need/desire/require several disney fixes a year. So if that means we clip coupons or drive old cars or ebay the clothes off our backs, we will!

Having an AP certainly helps. Not only does it mean that park admission is paid for all year, it often means that your room will be discounted. Most of those additional trips occur when a rock-bottom airfare coincides with a great AP room rate. Add in the Disney Dining Experience for more affordable dining, any rewards on the Disney VISA and whatever change is sitting in the change jar and you've got the makings of a long weekend getaway to WDW.

And then again, some of us are independently wealthy.

If I lived in Georgia..I would go more frequently. Living in NY, the airfare makes up a big portion of our budget. I would think you should go back for October I bet it's wonderful!!!

If you think you'll be going back within a year you may want to look into the AP and DDE card.

Disney will still be there for the next 50 plus years. Start planning now and think how much more magical it will be in Oct 2 yrs from now when your children are 6 and 4, and xmas when they are 8 & 6 (or plan for 3 yrs in between). And you'll have all that time to plan these wonderful trips ;)
