1st Vero Beach Stay

I am almost ashamed to say that I haven't done an ounce of planning for our stay next week.

It's very strange going home with nothing much planned. We have 2 small kids and I don't really want to buy beach toys. I can but don't want to fly with them. Could buy a few on way in if I could leave them at the front for another family to use when we leave. I have done this with food at previous resorts but connected via Facebook. As I am no longer on Facebook - curious to know if there are threads regarding recycling - paying it forward etc.?

You can definitely buy beach toys nearby. And I think you should. There is a Walmart a couple of miles up the road as well as a Walgreens' and right over the bridge a CVS.
I left beach chairs two years to a family checking in. I asked here on the DIS and connected with a family checking on the day we were checking out. I met them by the pool with the chairs and asked they try the same upon leaving. Another year I was not able to connect with anyone in a timely manner. So the morning we checked out DH found a family on the beach and offered them to them. They were delighted.
