HI again everyone :-)
It's been a while since I last posted, so i'm super excited that i'm on here again.
we are discussing our first family trip to disney with our 3 kids.
Our kids will be aged 7,5 and 3. i'm not really concerned about the older 2 but as for the little one, will there be any rides we have to avoid? or any rides with age restriction? will we need a stroller?

any advice would be much appreciated. i really have no clue where to begin

Hi, yes to the stroller and take your own rather than renting from the park so that you can go between parks and your hotel easily.

The rides have guides on suitable ages so you can decide what is suitable.

Watch out for the darker rides such as pirates and Peter Pan. My lo's got a bit scared at first as they were not expecting the dark but once I explained that it would be dark for a minute they were fine.

Definitely take a stroller :)

As for rides to avoid -- it depends on your child really, if s/he is not easily scared then they can go on most of the rides, some are a bit jolty like Snow White, but they should be fine. If your youngest is of a more sensitive disposition let them decide if they want to go or not

Oh those rides should be fine really, im not sure if we should try the larger ones like thunder mountain or crush.
Are 3 year olds allowed on crush?

Turtle Talk with Crush is perfect for kids of all ages, including toddlers.

I suspect you mean Splash Mountain? There's a 40(?) foot drop there that may make it a problem for your 3 year old.

Crush coaster i think is not suitable for a 3 year old but each child is different.
Look also at the height restrictions for the child.

From 0,80 cm-31 inch
  • Toy soldiers Parachute drop
From 102 cm-40 inch:

  • Star tours, Discoveryland
  • buzz light year rides, Discoveryland
  • Big thunder mountain ride, Discoveryland
  • Crush ‘n coaster
  • Tower of Terror
From 120cm-47 inch

  • Rc Racer
  • Rock'n roller coaster
From 132 cm-52 inch

From 140 cm- 55 inch

  • Indiana Jones and the temple of peril,Adventurelan

I'm going with a 3 year old in sept and went a few years ago with my oldest who was 4 at the time. Not planning on taking the 3 year old on anything with more than the 80cm height restriction (except for buzz - I didn't think that was restricted but even if it is he will go. Older ds was 110cm last time we went, he went on btm (currently closed anyway) but we all felt he was too small, we decided regardless of height restriction he was too small for crush. Maybe we're just wusses though, ds certainly is not the most adventurous. His faves were 'round and round and up and down' so orbitron, carousel and dumbo. To be honest if we wanted to go on thrill rides we could go to any theme park, I'm just looking forward to the atmosphere, parades and shows.
