Me - 41 year old Disney addict
DH - 39 yo hubby who thinks I am crazy
DD - 4 yo princess
MawMaw - my mom
PawPaw - my dad
Arrived in Orlando for first night off site stay at Hampton Inn Main Gate west. Hard to find this place as they ahven't gotten all signs replaced since hurricane last fall. Get checked in - room OK - nothing special. Lounge around then set out to find our way to WL for PS at Whispering Canyon. Afetr several wrong turns we make it and have a BLAST! Had B.J. as our waiter and he was FANTASTIC! Dh had a blast egging him on!
Day 1 - pack the car AGAIN and head out to dump stuff at CR. Arrive and park. End up getting just what we want - connecting tower rooms with MK view on the 7th floor. Leave the bags and hop the monorail for MK. JUmp on the train and head to the back of th epark at Mickey's toontown. DD gets to meet Mickey right off the bat and she was thrilled. Took her on Goofy' barnstormer during which she looked terrified but said it was fun afterwards. Then on to pick up fastpasses for Pooh and took DD to the carousel. She LOVED it and got to ride a pony 'all by herself'. Went back to ride Pooh and Snow white. DD slightly freaked at the dark but loved the Pooh ride. Ate lunch at Pinnochio house - good burgers and hot dogs. Almost ruined the trip by taking DD to the Haunted Mansion as she was terrified!! DH said if she could have crawled baack in the womb she would have! By this time we were dragging and called CR - rooms were ready so we headed back. Checked in. Nice rooms - someone had somoked in ours so we made arrangementsfor mousekeeping to replace blankets and bedspreads as well as bring in a room ionizer while we were at dinner. DD and DH took late afternoon nap and my dad and I shopped n the 4th floor. Dinner at CG - excellent although a little too rich for my cranky digestive system.
Day 2 - Breakfast at Chef Mickeys. DD loved this and was raring to go in her SNow White costume. We got our car after breakfast and went to MGM for the morning. Took DD to Playhouse Disney and this may have been one of her favorite things of the whole trip. Afterwards ran into a huge collection of characters includding JoJo and Goliath. BAck to concourse staekhouse for lunch and then nap. My mom and dad did Epcot in AM and my mom's knee was killing her after that. They stayed in and we went late afternoon to Jungle cruise and Aladdin's magic carpets with DD. Cancelled our PS that night because mom couldn't walk into the back of Epcot and decided to try walking in at Concourse steakhouse for dinner!! EEKKK! We ended up eating at 9 PM and I was half lit by the time we did!!!
Good food though! - at least I remember it as good.
Day3 - Back to MK after we realized that that was where DD wanted to be anyway! Went to late breakfast 1030 at CP with Pooh and pals. FANTASTIC food! Then headed to frontier land. Took dd to Country BEar while waiting on breakfast to settle. Then DH, Pawpaw and I did Splash Mountain! DD wanted to do Tom Sawyers island so went there and then Dh took dd back for nap. My mom and dad and I sat down and had a snack at Columbia house. The caught part of the parade. Wanted to do POC but it was down!! So we rode on the riverboat. Dh and DD came back and met up with us -Tea cups were next then back to Magic Carpets before dinner at CP. Twice in one day we ate with Pooh and had great food. DH, DD and I stayed in the park for Wishes and walked back to CR.
Headed home - headed out for EPCOT on last morning with car packed for ride. DD and DH did Leave a LEgacy and DD and I headed to the Living Seas while DH did Mission Space. DD loved the Turtle talk thing with Crash. Then did imagination and headed for home.
Overall and wonderful rather laid back trip. Can't wait to go back but it will be a few years due to money so I'll just habg around here and live vicariously through ya'll!!!
