My first ever trip report. Ok, so the trip was from 2009. I guess it was about time to finish it.
We did a split stay between Vero Beach and Old Key West. After a 15 hour drive, we arrived Saturday morning at 7:00 AM, and were able to catch a character breakfast with Donald and Goofy, vacationing from WDW in their swim clothes. This was a pleasant surprise.
Next, we walked outside and looked at the beach. WOW!!
I have not been to the beach for over a decade, and when I had, it was always a commercial beach. So, it was absolutely amazing to see the beautiful blue ocean and sand. We had an ocean view room, so was able to wake up and look at this beautiful view.
After a few short days, we left VB and headed to WDW. We enjoyed the 1st day at OKW resort, swimming in the main pool and the cool water slide. The next day we went to our first ever MNSSHP.
We had one of those extra magic moments. We told dds (8,5) about the Halloween Party, Trick or treating, and wearing their costumes. Yet, the 5 year old just didn't quite understand. After we exited the bus at MK and were walking towards the gate, the 5 year old sees the main entrance and proclaims, "We're at Disney World!". Apparently, it was not clear because we had "left" in the car.
It was a great party, followed by another relaxing day at the resort, trip to Epcot the following day, and then the return drive home. Can't wait for our next trip.
