First off, this was my first ever trip to WDW.

ME, DD, am 43, the DW is 39(she has been to MK, and Epcot at a business conference), Dd1(17) and Dd2(13), both 1st timers.

We stayed int he cabins at FW, on the Deluxe DP, rented a cart for the week(a must). The cabins were great but the housekeeping was below average. We had plenty of room a large bathroom, the bedroom was great for adult privacy and an extra place to change clothes besides the bathroom. Overall I guess we weren't in the room that often.

We left home and went to Destin and spent saturday on the beach and got up early Sunday and drove the rest of the way to WDW.

Arrived around 1 pm and checked in, got our cart(while teh wife and kids unpacked), freshened up and headed to DTD for some shopping, lunch (earl of Sandwich was great) and to go to DisneyQuest. DQ was really crowded, lots of unattended 9-14 yr olds running around making it had to play the arcade games. But we fought the pirates, did the virtual raft and DD and Dd2 did the virtual reality comic battle. Plus played a lot of 80's video games. Dd2 and I enjoyed it much more than the others but is was kind of disappointing after watching the travel channel show about it.

Went back and freshened up and went to the Hoop-De-Doo ReVue(front row table at the 9:30 show) it was corny vaudeville type comedy but had a lot of audience participation. We all laughed ourselves silly. Especially Dd2. Food was chicken, ribs, BBQ beans and pototoes and strawberry shortcake. Waiter Rob or Bor, (who had been at the HDD for 18 yrs) had lots of puns for everything and gave us all pens when we left.

Got in around midnight and crashed.

All in all I would skip DisneyQuest, but Dd2 really was excited about it before the trip.

Also we made no ADR's except for HDD, I should have made a few in advance but we just winged it and did OK.

Got up early and drove the cart to the settlement and had breakfast at the Trails End buffet at 7:30, drove back to the cabin to brush the teeth and off the the bus depot to go to HS. Tried to get a reservation for the Sci-Fi for lunch but they were booked for the day.

FP the tower and terror, went and rode the aerosmith rockin' roller coaster. Best coaster in WDW, back to the tower of terror, the 1st one may have been too much for Dd2 she chickened out on the Tower of terror, a cast member took her down the elevator and waited with her as we rode.

Got a FP for Indiana Jones and went to Sounds Dangerous show, and Star Tours flight simulator. Afterwards had lunch at the Pizza Planet, and then to the Indiana Jones stunt show.

After lunch watched the Army men street performers, which we all enjoyed. Off the the Muppet 3-D show. Took in the Great Movie ride watched teh HS Musical 2 party show, and Sit down to rest and get out of the rain(15 min shower) between the echo lake and the commissary. and realized they were setting up for the parade. So we sat there and waited for the parade, best seats in the place everything came within inches of us. The highlight for us was when the Army man called me "RED Army man on your feet and get dancing"( I was wearing a red shirt). I was called Red Army man the rest of the trip, including several of the people sitting around us.

After an hour or two just watching and walking through theAnimation courtyard and meeting the Power Rangers and Kim Possible. We went to the backlot tours, but the line was too long. We decided to call it a day(We missed Fatasmic and The Lights, Motor, Action show. But we were worn out. We weren't used to the heat and had very little sleep since SAT morning 4 am start. So instead of waiting for the shows gave away my FP for the Evening show of LMA, and headed to the buses about 6 pm.

Stopped at the Concierge desk and got reservations for a 8:00 dinner at the Marrakesh, for some reason they said it was pretty easy to get into. Made reservations for Tokyo dining, Tuesday night, and the Biergarden Wednesday night and the Liberty tree Thursday Lunch.

Since Epcot is easy to get to from the cabins, we drove over and went to eat. The Meshoui Lamb(DD and Dd2) was excellent, DW had teh Chicken couscous and Dd1 had the Moroccan symphony, enjoyed the Show of Music and the Belly Dancers. Then we wandered around the world showcase, to walk off dinner and watched the fireworks on our way out.
