1st trip as Mr. and Mrs. (lots of pics!) Updated 9/29: TR Link Posted!!

Sounds like you've had quite a few fun times so far this summer!

And don't you love shopping for vacation clothes? I do. I try to plan out my outfits ahead of time, but I didn't do very good this time. Being that we were in so many places with less consistent weather than Florida it was a bit harder. But I just packed heavy like always.

Sounds like a fun weekend!! I finally got my DH to sit down and look at menus with me, which was a huge accomplishment, but I don't think I'll get him into making a countdown, so good for you for getting your DH to! :thumbsup2 I wanted to seal some Mickey heads from HD too, but DH talked me out of it saying I was "stealing." But hey, it can't be stealing if they are free, so I'm totally sucking it up and taking some next time! :rotfl: I'm jealous you only have 76 days left and I have so many more (151, but who's counting!)!!

Looks like you had so much fun at camp (both of them) I'm glad you Disney date nights were a big success. I was laughing about your home depot experience because me and my DH did the same thing on Sunday for our countdown calendar. He kept saying don't you have enough but I had to make one for us and for DH's parents since they are going with us. I can't wait to see how yours turned out. We did ours for 30 days but I want to start it now.

It sounds like you had a wonderful weekend! That last picture of the sunset was so beautiful!

Thanks! It was great. It was soooo gorgeous! :goodvibes I just love sunsets!

Great update! And I LOVE the pics from camp! It looked like it was so much fun! Glad you guys had fun camping with the family! I haven't been in years, but used to love it! Of course I'm afraid now that I wouldn't be able to handle the heat!
Have fun when you come to my neck of the woods! Hope it'll be a cool day for ya at Six Flags!!
And post some pics of your outfits! Can't wait to see them!

Thanks! It was a blast!! Yeah--it was WAY hot. But the spring and fall aren't bad. Maybe when Baby is a little older, your family could go! ;) :woohoo: Thanks!! We LOVE Dallas and miss living there! Um...I don't think a cool day in July at Six Flags exists :rotfl: But thanks! I'll post a clothes pic sometime...hopefully by the end of the week! :thumbsup2

I love the picture of you guys giving the thumbs up.

I love the Mighty Ducks! "Quack, quack, quack, quack, quack, Mr. Ducksworth"

Sounds like you had a great weekend!!! It went by too fast!

Haha! Thanks. That's me looking like I'm 12. :rotfl: Isn't The Mighty Ducks SOOO great?! One of my favorites is "hum goalie-goalie, hum goalie-goalie, hey goalie-goalie, hey goalie-goalie. Save goalie!" :lmao:

It has been a super busy summer...but it's been good. Yeah--I can imagine it was harder for you this time! I'm hoping that by planning ahead I don't have to pack as heavy... :upsidedow We'll see

It was great! Let me clarify...Michael did help with the meals. Can I say food :rotfl: But he did not help with the callendar besides helping me staple it to the wall. So I was stretching the truth when I said "we" :upsidedow Haha!! Yes...he told me that I was going to make Home Depot go bankrupt because I took all their paint samples. And then they would have false hopes that people were thinking about buying it. :rotfl2: 75 today!!!

They were both so fun! And I have a feeling we'll have Disney date nights even after our trip! :goodvibes Haha!! What is it with guys?! Michael kept asking me the same thing! He was my "lookout guy" and he'd stand there looking around to see if anyone was coming up :rotfl2: I didn't ask him to--he took it upon himself. Ours took a poster board and a half!! I'll post is soon! Post yours too :thumbsup2

Glad you had fun at camp! It looks really fun! I went to camp when I was a kid but it def wasn't that cool :thumbsup2 Can't wait to see you countdown calender!! Never thought to get the mickey's from home depot!!!

"What's this supposed to be, some kind of pep talk?" :rotfl2:

It was awesome. But the camp I worked at for 3 years is WAY better!! If you're bored, check out www.pinecove.com. :thumbsup2 Yep--they have all colors there! It's great!

Oh goodness! It is one of the greatest movies ever!!! :rotfl: So funny. We laughed like crazy last night. You REALLY need to watch it! Jenny is right...you should be able to buy it for super cheap. We got it cheap online. I have SOO many plans! I think our next one might be Mulan. We'll order Chinese food, watch the movie, and maybe have a swim noodle sword fight! :thumbsup2 YEP! Go to the HD! They have all kinds of colors. You def. need a Mickey Head countdown calendar! ;) He's hilarious. I am constantly laughing at something he says or does! And you're welcome! ;)

"I am Goldberg, the GOALIE!" :rotfl2:

Kimmy - You've never seen Mighty Ducks??? Blasphemy! :rotfl: You could probably pick it up at Best Buy for like $5! It's a good investment. :thumbsup2

Tammy: "What do I know about hockey?!" --shoves Tommy--
Tommy: "More than you think!"

First off, I wanted to share a few pics of the wedding I went to in Louisiana a few weekends ago.

It was GORGEOUS! Two of my closest friends were marrying each other! They got married outside at this art gallery place (or something like that). Our GPS got us lost for 45 minutes instead of taking us the 3 miles down the road from our hotel. Thankfully, we left with a 30 minute buffer. Sadly, we were still 15 minutes late. At least it was an outdoor wedding, so no one knew we were late!

Here’s the little amphitheater where they got married. Isn’t that just stunning?!

And they got in this little carriage which took them around the grounds while everyone headed to the reception hall.

Here’s a pic of the girls I road-tripped with. We were in a leadership program two years ago. The bride and groom were in it too.

And here’s the happy couple with the other people from the program and our director:

Anyway….just thought I’d share!

Here’s the pizza we made on our First Disney Date Night:

It looks a little deformed, but it was AMAZING!

Last night, our Mighty Disney Date Night, was great! We cooked steaks, mashed potatoes, green beans, corn, and crescent rolls. YUM! For dessert, I made cool whip Jell-O.

If you have never had this, it is GREAT! You make Jell-O, and then before it’s jelled all the way, you mix in a tub of Cool Whip and put it back in the fridge. It is very good!

Then we watched The Mighty Ducks (yay!) and I worked on the countdown calendar. I’m really happy with how it turned out! After the movie, Michael helped me staple it in our ginormous closet.

The black Mickey Head was actually Michael’s idea for the last day. I loved the idea and decided we needed Minnie for the 2nd to last day

It was a great night! I get so excited every time I walk in the closet now! I love seeing the Mickey heads all in a row. Tomorrow we get to mark our first one off!

Gorgeous pictures! The place where it was held looks absolutely beautiful!

Your countdown calendar is so cute!!! You're so creative!

Ah, SO many things to comment on!!

Love your friends location for their wedding and love that turquoise dress, SO pretty with your dark hair! :goodvibes

Your pizza looks amazing! We've bought pre-made crusts and put our own toppings on it before, did you make the crust too? Yummy!

Love that Disney countdown, so professional looking! Although you are an artist! I definitely need to go steal some samples!

And a final note..hands down, the Mighty Ducks is one of my all time favorite movies! Really like the 2nd one a lot too, but not so much on the 3rd one.
Did you really quack at the principal? :rotfl:I'm going to have quotes stuck in my head all night! :rotfl2:

WOW! Those wedding pics were beautiful!! And I love your Mickey wall! HA!! I might have to go grab a few from the H.D.... :rolleyes1
P.S. You made the baby want pizza for dinner tonight! :lmao:

Love the countdown calendar!! Too cute!

What part of Louisiana was the wedding in??

I just found your pre-trippie today and I have so much to comment on. I will try to go in order.

Our trip is about the same time as yours we are going September 22 - 28th. We are actually DVC members, but are staying at the POP for free dining. I will tell you that once you stay in a DVC room it is very hard to stay in a regular hotel room.

I love that you donated your hair. You have beautiful hair and it must be warming to know that it will provide such joy to someone.

You and your DH are awesome. I attend Fellowship Church here in Dallas and I am so greatful for all the staff and volunteers that go with the kids to camp and make it so wonderful for them. It looks like you and the kids had a wonderful time.

I love your countdown calendar. i won't do one for this trip as I don't want to rub it in to the kids that we are going without them. I will make one like yours for our summer trip in 2010.

I am looking forward to your next post.
:yay:
