:flower1: Super excited! I've been planning our WDW April '16 vacation for awhile. Last night I decided to change it up to add in Universal! I have TEEN BOYS & figure they would love it!
I'm planning 5 or 6 nights WDW & 3 Nights HRH Universal. Never been & so excited to read up on it.
- Thinking arriving early evening & spending a few hours at CityWalk, having dinner @ Margarittaville
- The next few days touring both parks & eating there

It is exciting! I'll be at Universal in April '16 as well. And though we've been before, I'll have two bonus kids with me who have never been so that makes it even more exciting!

dancemonkey They will have Express Pass by staying at HRH. As well as early entry as onsite guests. Park to park tickets are a must if you want to ride the Hogwarts Express between the two Potter Parks. Club level is a great thought if you can get it at a good price.

Your teenage boys will love the parks. Have a good trip pixiedust:

Awesome news, momofboyz! Since you are DIS veteran, the Uni vacation will 'feel' very different (in a good way). Maybe all your future trips will be forever modified to include both. Can't wait to hear what the boys think, too (though I might already know the answer).

Seems to be a lot of "1st timers" adding Universal to a WDW trip. Doing the same thing in January 2016. After staying up until midnight last week to make fastpass selections and getting all our dining reservations situated a couple months ago...I've found I'm really, really looking forward to the 3 days we are spending in Universal. Not having to really worry about where we need to be every couple of hours is going be awesome.

Thanks for the tips!!!!! My biggest issue was we like lazy vacations and now with the split we will have to hustle a bit. Hoping 3 days is enough UNI time to still enjoy the HRH. Can't wait until April it's a surprise for my boys!

Having Express Pass by staying at HRH will help quite a bit! We usually stay at RPR and love having express pass. (But will be at CB for our April trip as we need to get two rooms due to the bonus kids). We did pool hop to HRH before though - the kids really enjoyed that pool.
