This may be a stupid question but I have never been to Universal and I would like to know about City Walk. I bought the ticket 2-PARK UNLIMITED ADMISSION that states Unlimited park-to-park admission to both Universal Studios Florida AND Universal’s Islands of Adventure theme parks for up to seven (7) consecutive days
FREE admission to select live entertainment venues* at Universal’s CityWalk entertainment complex.

Now, I wanted to know what does that include at City Walk and what do people do there?

Citywalk is an area that you walk through between the parking garages and the theme park entrances. It is an area of many clubs, restaurants and shops. There is also a movie theatre. Not much will be free with the ticket that you are describing. Some of the clubs charge a cover during certain hours, so if you wanted to go in there, you would save the $7 or so pp. All of this is on the website www.universalorlando.com just click on nightlife and citywalk will be an option.

This is what the * refers to on the Universal website.

*Ticket(s) valid for admission to select Universal CityWalk Orlando clubs and venues for 7 consecutive nights including first day any portion of the ticket is used. Not valid for separately ticketed concerts, shows, and special events. Does not include admission to Universal Cineplex 20, an AMC Theatre or the Blue Man Group Show. Subject to availability. Some venues require ages 21 or older for admission. Valid Photo ID required. Restrictions apply. Benefits are subject to change without notice.

So it DOESN'T get you a ticket to either the BlueMan group or the movie theater. It is not good for say a concert at the Hard Rock Cafe or HHN. But, as Metro indicated, it will get you into a select group of the Citywalk clubs.

If I read the Universal website correctly if you have a multi-day ticket you also have a 'free' CityWalk Party Pass which gets you into the clubs. I'm sure someone more knowledgable then I on here can add more info.

I have never been either, but what I think you are asking is : city walk is a group of restaurants/clubs that anyone can go to and eat/shop etc even if you don't have tickets to US or are not staying at a Universal Hotel. Some of the night clubs at night have a cover charge and this Party Pass or whatever it is called gets you into the club for free. If you have kids with you, you can still go to most of the restaurants, but a few are only 21 and older after a certain time at night. Sorry I'm not very specific, just a basic lowdown. It is similair to Downtown Disney/Pleasure Island except, I can't remember if you need tickets etc to go there.

CW is the equivalent (ableit smaller in scale) of Downtown Disney, Marketplace and Pleasure Island nestled between US and IOA.

Clubs, restaurants and stores. Your pass will get you into some clubs cover-free and your ticket may afford you discounts elsewhere.

Hope this helps and if you can, eat at either of Emeril's places (one is in the middle while the 2nd is in the Royal Pacific Resort).

My DH and I usually have to make a stop at Jimmy Buffett’s and Pat O'Brien's bars and this saves us around $5-$7 cover on average. We have tried several of the other venues so having the tickets will save you quite a bit since you won't have to pay a cover charge to just check out a location and see if you like or dislike it.

The clubs are top notch.From the laid back feeling of Margeritville to the upscale of the Red Coconut.The Groove is cool if you want to dance,Latin Quarter has a great vibe,but my fav is Pat O'briens with the Dueling Pianos and flaming fointains.Bob Marley and so on.Thats why we enjoy staying on-site.After the parks close the fun does not end!!
