? 1st timer scrapping weekend

Hi everyone - just a quick question for my first weekend scrapbooking event.. I spent the entire of my snowed in weekend (i got 18 inches when all was said and done - ontop of the 10 inches we had gotten wed! ) makeing layouts for my trip , I got the pictures cropped, some titles and borders made and made sketches for 17 pages (this is just about 1/3 of our 2004 trip) do you think that i should work on doing more before going or should i save some of the work to do while i am there .. I am afraid if i do the entire of my album like this I will breeze right through and get done and then have nothing to work on? Thanks for any insite.. Michelle

I would get done what I could, when I could. Then, I would grab some extra photos to sort and crop in case I finished early. That way, you'd have a jump start on scrapping your next event.

An odd tip: My first scrapping weekend I was unaware of Saturday's attire. I got up, showered, and got dressed. When I entered the scrap room, 99% of teh people were wearing pajamas & a sweatshirt. That way, they could scrap 'til the wee hours adn just crawl into bed. So, if you've got some fun pajamas, you may want to grab them. Make sure you have other clothes. too, though. Your weekend may be differrent and I rathered be clothed in a room full of pajama'd people than have the opposite!

Ok so today is the day we leave for our weekend scrap !! I am sooo excited .. I have gotten 25 pages laid out and have enough for about 25-35 more !! I have my tools, papers, stickers, journaling boxes, pens, packed my snack up (fruit salad,bowls & forks) got some clothes - comfy and normal packed just need to get through a few hours here at work and will be on the road !! Whoo Hoo -- I will post a report and hopefully some pictures of my book when I get back.. Michelle

OMG I had soo much fun.. the CMC who ran it was a HOOT !! she keep us in stitches most of the time.. we had about 40 ladies -- 6 in my little group . we each had 4 feet of space. we got door prizes and she had specials and there were borders, frames and misc grab bags .. some ladies stayed up all night !! None of us .. and best of all I GOT DONE 27 PAGES !! I am already planning for the fall trip -- the only one bummer of the weekend was it was rainy the whole weekend so on Sunday they said we should go home early (planned 3pm bumped to 11am ) as they were afraid the river would overflow and we would be stuck on the Mountain (for you Mainers we were at Sunday River at the Jordan Grand Inn in Bethel Me )
