Ok so we are planning a trip with my inlaws, my husband, myself and our will be 2 year old. We want to go the week after Thanksgiving 2009. I havent a clue where to begin. How do you book the resort? Agent? Can you call directly? Whats the best way to the get the best deals? Any advice will be helpful..

We know we want to stay at the All Star Music Resort in a family suite b/c of the little guy.

Thanks in advance...

PS: How do you get a cool countdown at the bottom ;)

go to www.disneyworld.com/affordable thats how I book it. look at the menu on the top left of the page to see special offers and see if there are any that you may be able to take advantage of. Then if you want to book meals you will have to call the 407-WDW-DINE number to book your ressies. To see restaurants and their menus I suggest www.allearsnet.com My parents had the family suite this past august and it was very nice. Had two bathrooms and a kitchenette. the couch made a bed and there was a chair that made a bed and the ottoman made a bed. then it had a separate bedroom. IT was very nice....You can also go through AAA if you are a member. They have discounts. good luck!!!

You need to get thee to a bookstore or a library, and pick up a good guidebook. The Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World is very good and informative.Alot of info though.Head over to www.allears.net, and hang out here on these boards.i would definitely familiarize yourself with what the resort encompasses, and what you are willing to pay for a resort BEFORE you book anything.

I agree with going to your library and checking out a couple of good Disney books. It's a great way to get started. Then head to mousesavers.com. They give the current codes for discounts on hotels and such. Have a great first trip.

That's a great time to go. We went there last year and it was wonderful weather and crowds. I second the Unofficial Guide to Disney World. But instead of the large book pick up the quick read of the Unofficial Guide to Disney World with kids. It makes such a difference. We went first when my DS was 4. The most important lesson, Disney World will always be there. When your child it tired, take him/her back to the hotel for a nap. Never miss a nap time. Have fun planning your trip.

my mom made shrits for our family the first time we went they turned out really good

I booked everything through the Walt Disney World site. Just click on one of our tickers & you should be able to make your own.

Boy i could remember my first time there. When i saw that castle for the first time!! It still gets to you no matter how old you are.

You need to get the guide book Passporter's guide to Disney. Best book ever! It's really helpful and small enough you can bring it to the park.

You've got some good advice so far. So, I'll just help you on the counter in your signature. I don't think you can do it yet, because you don't have enough posts. I think you need 10 posts to post a link or something like that. Then, you go to one of the sites that make the "tickers" and make yours. The address of the ticker is usually on them somewhere. Mine is from www.magicalkingdoms.com. They'll give you the code you need to copy and paste it in your signature.

To give yourself a signature, you'll need to go to "User CP" up in the left hand corner of the screen and click on "edit signature", again up in the left hand corner of the screen. The signatures have a size limit. It can only be so many pixels high (mine is maxed out).

I hope this helps!

Well just about anywheres you go you can find great Disney information, if it's a book or even a video you sure can find it. This book may help you on your next trip Inside scoop to walt disney world magic kingdom. It has a great amount of detail in it. You can find it at barnes and noble or just about any book store out there. Hope this helps you out.

I did purchase the book from Amazon
"Insidescoop to Walt Disney Worl Magic Kingdom"
I found the book of good quality and very informative.

Keep in mind that this book is specifically a Magic Kingdom book.

If its your first trip, I suggest you get the unofficial guide for kids also. You're going at a great time so you're already on the right track. I recommend you book through AAA or check out Mousesavers.com which will save you a lot of money.

The best way to find a guide book is to go to the library and check out a few. Even if they are out of date, you will get an idea of how each one is organized.
