hi
we are off to orlando and the parks in early nov this year, we havnt been before, tho we did do the disneyland paris last year. we are only there for 7 days before we fly on to the bahamas, we have the 5 day hopper plus tickets and the kids are 3 and 6 years old. i would be grateful for time saving ideas on what parks to head for ( our 1st day at the parks will be a thursday):) also any other tips for eating out etc. we are planning to go till we drop that week and rest up the second week :hyper:
thanks

waht are the exact days you are going? That would really help us in giving you more info.

ok
we arrive late on wed 3rd november so 1st park day is thursday 4th november and we leave on wed 10th november oooooh i am soooooo excited !!

Well if memory serves me correctly. You should be going during a low attendance part of the year. You should have plenty of time to do what ever you want. Just take your time and don't rush around and missing everything!

First of all....welcome to the dis boards!!! Okay. My suggestion would be to take advantage of the EE hour at each park. Make a 'must do' list of the things your family really wants to do/see. Try to do a couple of character meals. They are great for seeing the characters without standing in long lines. Do take the time to just enjoy being at WDW. This is a great time of year to do just that. If you can, I would try to avoid MK on Sat. That is my own personnal mantra. Even my 10 y/o dd agrees with that one. It can be a real zoo!!!! Get a good guidebook. Most of all....relax and have fun. Don't get so frazzled that you try to do it all, see it all. You can't. So....enjoy what you can do.

The weather is gorgeous and the crowds are low when you'll be there! :) Perfect Disney conditions!

I'd agree with goofy4tink that you should most definitely avoid the Magic Kingdom on Saturday.

When crowds are as low as they will be, I wouldn't concern myself too much with the Extra Magic Hour program if your family isn't an early-rising kind of bunch.

You'll have a fantastic trip! Followed by time in the Bahamas. I'm so JEALOUS!!!! ::yes::

Try www.allearsnet.com and click on dining menus for WDW restaurants.

Will you be staying at a WDW resort? Check www.mousesavers.com for room discounts at WDW. The November discounts aren't available as of yet, but keep an eye open for them. Staying at a WDW will add to your trip. People on these boards will be more than happy to answer any questions you may have.

At a great time you should encounter low crowds and nice weather. So touring attractions with little wait time will make for a great time. Some of my favorite dining venues are LeCellier at Epcot,Mama Melrose's at MGM,Flame Tree BBQ at AK and Crystal Palce at MK.This is a only a few of the great dining options you have at WDW.Be fore I forget Welcome To The Dis:Pinkbounc :bounce: ::yes:: :wave2: Have A GREAT AND MAGICAL TRIP TO WDW.ºOº

Hi! We are going to WDW the same time you are too:wave2: 11/03 to11/10 . Where are you staying??

We'll be there too for our first trip 10/30-11/6. Read up on all the threads, it helps so much! Anything you want to know about, type it in search & you will get plenty of posts to help you learn.

It is Jersey week when you arrive so there seem to be differing opinions on if that makes it more crowded but shouldn't be bad. Weather is supposed to be gorgeous.

Isn't it exciting to be going?!

hi again
thanks for the replies.....we are travelling with virgin holidays and staying at the quinta inn lakeside ( formally the sheraton lakeside) in kissimmee

its my moms 60th birthday on the second week and she has paid for us all to go ( bless her)

it seems i will have to get hold of some lime green ribbon before we go :sunny:

btw what is jersey week ?? and also how do i add this trip counter to my posts ?? tia

Add me to the November list, we are arriving also late on the 1st so first park day (Magic Kingdom yeah :Pinkbounc ) will be the 2nd. I'm glad so many have said it won't be to crowded then because I was a little worried. We are leaving the 15th, so not really 2 full weeks. I should have added a day since we are getting in so late on the 1st, that we can't do anything really except walk around the hotel grounds and then go to sleep. I am excited about the gift shop, if it's open I'm so wierd that it would be a thrill for me to go in and check it out! However our flight gets in after 8pm and then there is the grocery stop so...probably out of luck on that one until the morning!
natalielongstaff Jersy week is when the schools our out in that state and so alot of people choose to visit WDW then. Up's the attendence but it shouldn't be to bad hopefully.

I would do Sci Fi Dine in Restaurant at Disney Studios. I have a 3 and 5 year old and they loved it. The tables are made to look like you are sitting in cars and there are short movie clips playing. Oh yeah also get the glowing ice cubes for their drinks.

natalie,

Between now and November you'll probably read a lot of terrible things about crowds during "Jersey Week". My understanding is that school is out in New Jersey during this time, so the parks are full of people from "Joisey".

We've been to WDW during Jersey Week twice in the last four years, and on both trips we noticed that there WERE a lot of people from New Jersey, but, in my opinion, the crowds were not that bad. Especially if you use all the tips you'll get on the DIS!

thanks all of you for your advice ...im fast becoming addicted to the boards and will be our families resident expert when we go :sunny:
