This will be our 4th "onsite" stay @ UO. First 3 were all at HRH with our DD (16) & DS (15). This will be the 1st time without the kids for DH (44) & I (40). We will be staying at RPR this trip (water view "king" room). We have LOTS OF ???'S for those of you who have been able to enjoy Universal without the kids (NOTE: we actually spent our honeymoon in Orlando 9 yrs ago, but didn't stay onsite - Raddison instead- if we'd only known, LOL - we went to USF, Sea World, & "Pleasure Island", but didn't spend any time @ Citywalk). First of all, RE: RPR - does it have any romantic aspects/areas? We loved the walk from HRH to theme parks, would let the kids "run ahead" so we could enjoy the peace & quiet, noticed the landscaping was beautiful & lots of little side spots along the river. Is it as nice walking from RPR to parks? Also, what resturants are a "must - without kids"? As for Citywalk, what clubs are most suited to those of us in our 40'S (we love all kinds of music)? What about "dress codes" in the clubs? And let's not forget "HAPPY HOURS????" What times in Citywalk, USF, & IOA and "drink specials"? By the way, our stay will be July 3rd thru July 8th.:cool1:  :yay: :worship:

:thumbsup2 You came to the right spot with that queston:thumbsup2
I've got a few sugg for ya,but I got to run.Somebody will bealong real soon,trust me:thumbsup2

I would go to one or both of Emeril's restaurants and I'd pool hop over to Portofino. Portofino is always so quiet and to me very romantic.

the walk from rph to the parks is lovely.
you'll enjoy it.

the hrh to the park is a shorter walk than from the rph to the parks.
from rph you will exit the walk from the hotel in city walk near margaritaville.

you can always take the water taxi from the city park area to phb and walk around there. very romantic in the evening on the ride and around that hotel.

For restaurants, do Emeril's Tchoup Chop. Although expensive, its very good food. Plus, as its located at RPR, you don't have to leave your room until 5 minutes or so before your reservation. And you will need reservations which you can make at opentable.com or by calling the restaurant directly.

If your looking for something fun to do at Citywalk in the evening, stop by Pat O'Brien's and hang out in the Dueling Piano Bar. We've done this three times now and have enjoyed it each time. The piano players take song requests.

this link is to the hotel section of the UO forums.

read about how a couple loved the evenings at pbh.

i suggested to take the water taxi over there in the evening as it is very romantic.

try it and go to the section where the musicians play at night over at pbh.
