going to wdw on 4/12 - 4/16, a family of 4 w/ 2 small children (ages of 4 and 6). Any suggestions which park to go first, skip or any suggestions to plan our trip.....1st time to wdw, stay in the disney property (all star movie resort)...

Welcome to the Dis Deannav:earsboy: I would suggest browsing around the Dis--especially check out Theme Park Strategies and the restaurant boards. You'll find answers to a lot of your questions. If there's anything specific you need, feel free to post your questions and many answers will come to you. Be sure to hit all the main parks: MK, Epcot, MGM, and AK. The little ones would probably require the least time at Epcot and MGM.

The first time we took our 2 year old daughter to WDW we went to the Magic Kingdom the first day, went to MGM & Epcot the second day - went to MGM in the morning until lunch and then went to Epcot for dinner and fireworks, then we skipped Animal Kingdom - but I wouldn't skip this with a 4 & 6 year old - they would love the safari (hit that 1st thing in the morning, the animals are most active then, the later the day the hotter it becomes and animals are not active in the heat).

Make sure you hit some character meals because this is where you will get your best photos taken with the characters. If you have any other questions, please ask.

Have fun!!

You will all have a fantastic time. Here are my tips...The parks will be pretty busy since that is just after Easter and spring breaks are happening. Start early so that the crowds are less, and spend afternoons napping and swimming(the kids will love All Star!). Then after everyone is rested head back out. Map out what attractions you would for sure like to see, and fastpass if at all possible. That way you can enjoy something else while waiting for your fastpass time to roll around. Take water bottles with you for you and and the kids, use a stroller for the kids so they don't get too tired of walking, and don't get stressed out! There is so much to see that you probably won't get to everything during the time that you are there, and that is okay! It will give you a reason to go back some other time. I recommend Chef Mickey's for a meal because they have more charactors than anyplace else, the food is good, the your kids will love it! Hope this helps, read everything that you can, and have a great trip!
