Hi. My mom and I are going to the Food and Wine Festival for our first time. Any suggestions. Is there any certain dinner or special event that we can't miss? Thanks, Staci

There are events, but we've never been to any. My favourite thing is working our way round World Showcase in one direction and then the other, sampling food from around the world.

And then repeating the exercise later.

You won't need any dinner after that! :)

The only events I've heard described as "can't miss" with respect to the F&WF are the "reserve" or "signature" dinners they have at various times. Most of those, however, are probably sold out.

The good news, however, is that we gladly organize our trips around the festival all the time, and don't feel particuarly left out for having missed those events. The booths and the free wine seminars are enough for us, even though the quality is a notch down (and the prices a couple notches down) from the stuff you'll get with the dinners.

Plus, I believe enough of the ancillary events (F&W pairings, and perhaps the "Party for the Senses" events) still may have some availability.

The Restaurant board has more info on the festival than one could possibly need.

The F&W Festival is not to be missed! We didn't do anythng special - just ate our way around the world! I tried things that I otherwise might not have, and even indulged in three desserts in one evening! It really is a wonderful time!

We did the beer tasting demonstration one year and really enjoyed it. The experience of eating your way around the world is always our favorite. The dinners are great but they are getting very expensive and by now are sold out.

If you are interested in the signature dinners, please call WDW. They have added a second one on November 9 (and maybe others) and I don't think it is sold out. Plus they added more food and wine tastings.
