We are going Mar 20-27 for the first time. Is this a good time? We are thinking about staying at the Howard Johnson. It will be DH, DD(age 7), and myself. Any rides or attractions that we shouldn't miss. Thanks hor any help.

We have a DD who just turned 8. Some of the rides that she enjoyed and that we think shouldn't be missed are:

1. Splash Mtn.
2. Big River Raft ride
3. Soarin' over California
4. Peter Pan
5. Indiana Jones

One thing that we've always missed during the 10x that we've been to DL was the Alladdin show. My SIL told me that they really enjoyed it when they went last Christmas. We also enjoy the Electric Parade, which we find to be a nice winding down after a busy day at the parks.

HAVE FUN PLANNING YOUR TRIP!!!

I am not sure if there are any holidays around your date. If so make sure you are at the park a half hour before opening and get in and do as much as possible in the first 2 hours. All Saturdays are very busy so use that plan for Saturday if you are there. Have you been to Walt Disney World Before?
Essentially most eveything there is not missable as the rides and attractions are not like at other parks. The big attractions to not miss are
Pirates of the Caribbean
Haunted Mansion
Indiana Jones (Which will most likely be ob rehab while you are there.
Splash Mountain
Matterhorn (Bumpy but somewhat slow Roller Coaster)
Star Tours
It's a Small World
Space Mountain and Big Thunder Mountian will be closed while you are there.
Smaller fun attractions are
Peter Pan
Alice in Wonderland
Roger Rabbit's Cartoon Spin
The Tiki Room
Honey I Shrunk the Audience
Storybookland Boats

At California Adventure
Big attractions are
Soaring over California
California Screamin' (Large roller coaster)
It's Tough to be a Bug
Muppet Vision 3D
The Animation building
Grizzly Rapids

Have stayed at Hojo numerous times and really like it. just ask for a room away from the freeway, Everyone there is really nice and the rooms are decent and most have a balcony.

Thanks for the info. We've been to WDW twice but this is our first time to Disneyland. Also plan on Knotts Berry Farm and other attractions. Planning on at least three days at Disneyland. The new Snow White show at the Fantasyland Theatre is a must for my DD.

I would do the Princess storytelling-it is really great! Even my boys love it. They usually do them in the 1st half of the day, at the Princess store at the castle-there'll be times on your map/guide. They are so much more than just a story-very interacive and special to be with a princess! Also there is an Aladdin & Jasmine storytellilng in Adventureland that is also great! There is always time for pictures after, as well. The Aladdin show at DCA is a must-it is a real broadway show-40 min in length and it is fabulous! Soarin over CA at DCA is also a must! March is a good time to go-been there many times during that time of year. It is not usually as busy, but it can be a bit chillier-although not freezing or anything! You can monitor the weather online, before you go so you know what to expect. You never know, it could also end up very warm! I've never stayed at the Howard Johnsons, but the Best Western Anaheim Inn is decent and it is directly across the street from the Resort. It is the best hotel for walking. The Anaheim Hilton and Anaheim Marriott are also good, if you want to walk, although it is a slightly longer walk. They are very nice hotels, though.
