They countered with 160 they pay closing ( about 8,000).

We countered 157 they pay closing.
They said no 160,000.
I said 159,000 they pay closing and they accepted it!

We are so happy! We have lived in a mobile home, on private land, for 8 years and I don't have to tell you we need more space!

Congrats! I can completely relate to where you are coming from, we are a family of 4 that have been living in an upstairs apartment for 7yrs. We are all set to close on our first house in October! We are going from 700sq ft to 2000sq, the time can't seem to move fast enough.

p.s I would remove the listing because it has the address and you never know what kind of crazy people who are out there, even on the DIS.

Yay for you--Congrats! We just bought our first family home about 4 months ago. We offered full price and asked for closing costs because we thought it was priced really well and we were the 3rd couple to look at it by the only 5th day it was on the market. Other comp homes in the area were either not in move-in condition or priced way higher, so we felt we needed to move quickly and offer their full asking price. I think we took them by surprise because it went so quickly. Anyway, we had rented for YEARS and we are beyond excited to finally have our own place. Good luck to you!
