1st TIME FLYING OUT OF FLINT, MICH AIRPORT

Flint is absolutly a joy to fly out of. Parking can't be easier (econ is $4.75 and "Long Term" is around $7) but if you can splurge, i enjoy parking right infront of the terminal and avoiding the bus all together. Although the airport is very small (8 gates) it does have a nice selection of shops and cafe's to keep you busy while your waiting. Only 2 complaints that I have, and the first is baggage claim. As I previously stated, there are 8 gates at FNT, but only 2 baggage claims. Northwest pretty much occupies 1 all the time, as they have constant n/s to DTW, MSP, FLL, TPA arriving every 1/2 hr, so the rest of the airlines are sqished into 1 carousel, which is often times PACKED. I believe they are adding an addition to that side of the airport to add a few more carousels. The only other complaint is a lack of check in agents for AirTran. Usually the lines are double that of every other airline so things tend to be a little slow. I suggest online check in, as i believe they may have added a few self bag check kiosks. Other then that, FNT is nothing but pure joy to fly out of!! Enjoy

Especially the check-in part.
I believe we can check-in on-line the night before or something.
And thanks for the heads-up about the luggage terminal.
:) :teeth:
