Well, everytime I think I have everything all set-- I think of something else:D

I know DH & I both need to have our drivers liscences available throughout the entire airport procedure. However, what sort of ID do I need for DS (10)? He doesn't have photo ID. Should I bring a copy of his birth certificate? Also, DH & I only need one form of picture ID right??

Last someone please clarify the film thing. Where do I put it?? my checked luggage, my carryon? I though they both get xrayed??? Also has anyone had a problem w/ their digital camera memory cards being damaged or erased by these machines?

Thanks for all the help and advice!!!:D

The kids I've flown with have never needed any ID, doubt if yours will either. Just the grownups. Put your film in your carryon unless its high speed film. If its high speed ask that it be hand checked. I don't think x-ray will injure a digital camera's memory card. The x-ray of checked luggage is much stronger than the little scanning machine that carryon luggage is passed through.

Remember gum to chew during take off and landing and remember to relax and enjoy!

I have traveled with my 6 year old twin sons many times and never have been asked for any birth certficates or Social security card but I do take it just in case.

Children do not need ids.
Film: NEVER in checked luggage it will destroy both exposed and unexposed film.
Digital cameras: carry on also, they are expensive items, don't tempt theft. No problem with the scanners on these. They don't use film and the memory cards are safe from xrays and scanners.
