I agree. If I was taking a child to 'Ohana, it would be for breakfast.

I have to say that while I like breakfast, I think my DGD did better with th evening meals. One of the best decisions we made was a dinner ADR at CP. It was a really nice break on a night that we planned to stay for Spectromagic and Wishes. To this day we tend to have a quick breakfast and spend the morning touring.

With that said, CP breakfast is awesome for kids who love WInnie the Pooh and Friends. This restaurant is big and bright. Cape May at the Beach Club is really good too. I think that if you have a resort hopping day, staarting here is perfect because you can then explore the Epcot resorts and enjoy the Boardwalk.

One meal I like a lot is Garden Grill in Epcot. I have never had lunch there, but dinner with the boys was a lot of fun. You do not need to go for your food, it is AYCTE, and is brought to your table. The characters are really relaxed, and seem to be less overwhelming. I like dinner for character meals.

Tusker House is our favorite for breakfast. The food is a notch better than the other options and the characters come around fairly quickly.

If he's an early riser, early ADRs at CP and TH would be great. Ohana may be a good option too but I'd be concerned with how he does with Stitch.

You sound like me. We're taking our 22MO DD in September. Here are the ones I'm doing:

Akershus princess breakfast (I did this a few years ago and the food was good...the potatoes were outstanding!)
Tusker House breakfast (1st time with this one)
1900 Park Faire Cinderella dinner ( good food and interaction with Lady Tremaine and stepsisters was classic for both girls and boys)
Hollywood & Vine Disney Junior lunch (another new one for me)
Chef Mickey's dinner (I did the breakfast a few years ago and it was great)
Crystal Palace dinner (good food and the Pooh character interaction is great)

The family and I loved Crystal Palace for dinner. Lots of options and we got to see Pooh, Piglet and Tigger. We definitely plan to go back next time we go.

Thanks everyone for your amazing input!!!! Make ADRs tomorrow - I will try for both pre RD at CP and TH. If not available then I will try for the 10:30/10:45 timeframe. I think I will try for brunch at CM too. Not many mentions about Cape May....

I don't think he would handle the Ohana am characters, which just leaves us with dinner there. But I am second guessing that. The last time we eat there, which was several years ago, we were disappointed.

You should try for Chef Mickey first if you are going to want to do that. And the only reason I say that is Chef Mickey tends to be the hardest reservation to get. They are all great meals (I agree with most that Tusker House has the best food) but in regards to the difficulty of getting a reservation, I'd say this is the order of toughest to least toughest of what you are looking at:
1. Chef Mickey
2. Tusker House
3. Crystal Palace
4. Cape May Cafe
