1st time at waitlisting

Earlier in the week I posted that we were successful using our points in the holding account to get a reservation at OKW. We were pretty happy about getting somewhere. I asked to be waitlisted for the entire trip for BWV and figured I had about a 0% chance but when I got home from work today - the message is there!!!! Woo Hoo - now I have to wait until Monday to call them back, but I am sooo happy We've never needed to use a waitlist before and to find out four days after contacting them is wonderful! Now, will they "hold" that reservation for me until I call them back - or do I have to worry that I'll call back and they'll say it's gone? I have until 5:30 Tuesday to call them back.

If they told you that you had until 5:30 P.M. on Tuesday to call back, they will hold it for you until then. After that it will be released. Congratulations on the success.

Called on Monday to return the MS call about the waitlist. As posted earlier, we got OKW with our holding points, but waitlisted the entire trip for BWV. When I called on Monday to confirm the waitlist - they said my waitlist for SS had come available - we didn't ask to waitlist for SS, but I took it anyway. What the heck! We're still waitlisted for BWV, but we'll be happy just being at WDW. I just thought it was strange that we didn't request that waitlist, but got a call anyway. Anyone else ever have this happen?
