1st Time at Hilton Head Island Resort...

What an awesome place!!!! This was our first stay there and we thoroughly enjoyed it! The grounds were manicured to a tee, the staff were very friendly and ready to help with any concerns, and the studio was much larger than any other studio that we have stayed in. My kids really enjoyed going and we definitely will be back. We loved the pool party on Tuesday night - the cast members did an awesome job! On Wednesday, "Member Day", we enjoyed the food discounts, the kids got to pick out a little gift from the front desk, and we actually won the "member raffle giveaway basket" for the day!!! As usual, we didn't want to leave........

I really like HHI too. I was there once in a two bedroom (loved it!) and will be going over Christmas this year in a one bedroom. I don't own there, so I have very little chance of getting in in prime time, but I like the off season just fine.

Mickeymorse, there is great shopping for the girls! If they like that kind of thing.... Walking on the beach, girls like that. Maybe you could sell it better if she got to go too! Maybe a couples trip? Just a thought....

We go at least every other year. We just love it there! Off season is terrific too! This year we were there in Feb. The weather was actually quite nice considering we came back to snow. Quite a shock after walking on the beach in shorts!

If only I did have those powers! I'd use it for my statistics homework!!!!

Thanks Laxmom. That would probably be the best option. I was wondering about the weather in March. Thats our spring break. I notice you are from Ohio, we are due north across Lake Erie. Good luck with your statistics homework. I remember it well.

We also just got back yesterday and loved the place. Really, really great staff. We had a storm early in the week and knocked out the main TV in the room so anyone in 2022 will see a new flat screen. Ours was the 5th they had replace so far that day. The local TV store was doing the happy dance after that storm. Our 2 bedroom didn't have one of the marsh views but the court yard was very nice and quiet.

Oh and also the stove has been replaced since the instuction sheet was printed so we felt like fools and had to call for help in running the oven. We usually don't cook anything but breakfast but this one day we thought we would stay in and do something and then of course couldn't figure out how it worked.

Great place for the kids and lots to do.

We joined in 1998 and it was all because of HH. We absolutely love it there. We try to go every year and have been there in June (pretty hot and getting humid) but actually prefer May. The staff there over the past 10 years has always been wonderful. This place really fits the type of vacations we like to take...RELAXING....

Now after being a member for 10 years (this month actually!) I am very glad we made HH one of our home resorts. It has been a great place to take family but equally as nice when it is just the three of us.

I can't wait to go back in Sept 2009. This will be the first time we have gone in Sept so hope we enjoy it just as much as our usual May visits...can't wait...

What airport do you fly into when going to HHI? Do you rent a car or is it convenient to take a taxi? We've only gone to WDW so far on DVC, so I'm not sure of the best way to get around other places. Thanks!

We flew into Savannah and rented a car. It is an easy drive in and very easy to get around. Took us 45 min on Sunday night to get there but an hour to get out on Friday AM. I hear fridays going in and Sundays coming out are longer.

We also did a day trip to Savannah. Next time we are thinking of staying in Savannah a few days and then on to HHI.

We just got back this afternoon from HHI after spending a wonderful relaxing week there!!! It was our second trip there and we can't wait to go back next summer and are so glad HHI is one of our home resorts.

You all have me really excited now! We are visiting for 5 nights starting a week from tomorrow. It's our 1st time to HH, and our first DVC visit away from Florida.
