Go for the split stay.Contemplating a split stay for the first time ever just to get to stay at RR for a few days. We had breakfast and a tour there 2 weeks ago and that resort is AMAZING. I may swap some of our CC days this spring.... not sure yet.
The couch at other resorts are awful to sit on too. Did you sleep on the murphy style bed. Most say it is better than the fold out sofa couch.we are at the Riviera right now and the resort is nice the rooms are meh.. The couch in the living room is garbage. Its easier to pull the bed down to watch tv.
Disagree kidani and gfv are much better couches . Yes the bed at the Riv is better. The couch at other resorts are awful to sit on too. Did you sleep on the murphy style bed. Most say it is better than the fold out sofa couch.
i just snagged enough nights to switch the last half of our thanksgiving trip from Poly to Riviera - i'm stoked.
now we are 4 nights in CCV and 4 nights in Riv -
I'm trying to piece together some info on what is and isn't available at Riviera - in terms of activities - does anyone have info on that?
I know the pool games are happening but what about the art scavenger hunt or the race car building in the Eventi room - is that still a thing?
Also i know Le Petit Cafe used to have a pretty extensive specialty coffee menu in the morning - is that still the case? I've checked the menu on the Disney website and it seems abbreviated but I'm not sure if it's all encompassing or if there are things being offered that aren't listed (like their cold brew coffee with whipped cream for example)
We stayed in a 1BR and used the couch murphy bed in the LR. It was VERY comfortable - felt like a regular bed, not a sofa bed. I believe it was a queen, and the murphy bed under the TV is a regular twin size, not a kids' size bed. Also wondering if anybody who has stayed in a 2BR can vouch for the comfort of the couch...I assume that's a Murphy Bed based on photos? We have friends staying with us who will use it and I want to know that it's comfortable for them...or for my 78 yo FIL.
What did you think of your stay at RIV?Managed to grab 3 nights in a Riviera Standard studio next month, then onto my home resort CCV for another 4 nights! Looks like such a beautiful resort, hoping I don't get addonitis!
Is the Le Petit Cafe open and serving food at all? Some of those pastries look delicious!
Really liked it. I wouldn't mind owning there someday. It's such a beautiful resort and a great location. We only tried the food at the QS while we were at the pool with the waterslide and thought it was very good. Excellent access to the Skyliner, our room had a nice7th floor view of the Skyliner station so we could tell if it was experiencing problems we would just head right over to the bus stop. Really nice bus stop, each bus has it's own waiting area. We may have just been lucky, but we had great bus service without any long waits. I did a small add on at Copper Creek last year and it was a toss up between the two. I think CCV is a little better for my taste, but I love them both. First class resort all the way. What did you think of your stay at RIV?
