1st stay at BWV... anything I should know?

Good advice - we did the same thing when taking the bus from Downtown Disney. We were advised to get off at the Swan and walk to BWV, which we did, so I don't know the exact order of stops after that.

Would you suggest getting off the bus at the Swan when coming back from the MK also to avoid the extra time making all the other stops?

We are staying here in Oct. for F & W and have never stayed here before, we have a studio and I think I will be requesting the village green view. Is it noisy there, verses being by the pool. I am on the waitlist for a boardwalk view, if it come through is it noisy there with the people and the boats on the lake. DH is a lite sleeper. I am looking forward to staying here.

I found the Village Green to be quiet (and I am a light sleeper)...on the other hand, the Boardwalk View can get noisey. Personally, I like the Village Green Best out of all the views:thumbsup2

I guess the question is - which is a bigger problem for your group, sore feet or motion sickness?

Since I get motion sick very easily, I always want to get off the bus as soon as I can. When I'm staying at one of the Epcot hotels, I'm likely to hop off the bus as soon as it reaches any of the Epcot hotels, and walk from there to my hotel. But for someone whose feet are killing them and who has to carry a toddler, it might make more sense to stay on until you reach your own hotel.

I guess my advice is - when you get on the bus, ask the driver what the order of the stops will be, and then decide when you get to the first stop.

I completely agree. Dh and I had a village green studio a couple of years back and loved it! So peaceful and quiet with a great view of EPCOT. Last week we were on the top floor in a 2bd by the carnival games on the boardwalk. It can get quite noisy at night even with our doors closed. We kept hearing the bells from the games going off, and people yelling when they made a basket playing the basketball game. We love the BW view, but I also like peace and quiet when I get back to my room at night. I would still pick a BW view over a garden/pool view, but missed my quiet view of the savannah we had at AKV in Jan.
BWV is still one of my many favorite DVC resorts.

I guess I am just trying to save a bit of time, so your suggestion of asking the order of the bus stops makes the most sense.

If we can get off the bus at the Swan and avoid stopping at the Dolphin, YC and BC before getting to the Boardwalk, then that will work for us.

SassyLassy...a higher floor is just a request, not a guarantee. I request it every time we book at eleven months exactly, usually two or three times a year, and our success rate is probably around 40%. Good luck.

Thanks auntsue. I knew it wasnt a guarantee but I didnt think that it would be at about 40%!! Wow, sounds like its almost better to NOT request something! lol

Thanks for the advice on the noise level, I will request the village green area. I don't want to hear the noise from the boardwalk so I think I will get off that waitlist and just stay on the waitlilst for the BCV.
