1st stay at a Value! ASSp- What to expect?

We are leaving WDW for the beach after our WDW vacation. It is only 1.5 hours away so instead of leaving WDW at midnight Thursday and paying $150 a night at the Beach, we found the All Star Sports room for $77!

We have not stayed in a value resort yet. Are we going to be disappointed?

2003- Radisson Resort Parkway
2004- Coronado Springs, Contemporary
2005- Beach Club, All Star Sports

depends - if you are expecting the same service and rooms at BC - then yes you will be disappointed.

However if you realize that All Star Sports is a value resort and appreciate it for that - then no you won't be disappointed. (however I would go for the Pop Century if possible - it at least has a lake). Plus the Icons at Pop Century are pretty cute.

I agree with spiceycat. If you go in expecting what it is, then you should be happy. If you go in expecting more you may be disappointed.

IMO, for what it is, ASSP is a great place. The theming is cute, especially for sports fans. Bus service and food court are very convenient. CMs are your typical Disney CMs, friendly and helpful. We even got some extra magic on our trip there with towel animals in our room...never got those at a deluxe or moderate.

There will be no sit down restaurant, hot tub, water slide, spa services, things like that.

For the price, I think the All Stars are a great deal.

If you're only staying one night, it will be fine. We stayed at Touchdown building, and it was a convenient walk to the Goofy pool, which was a lot of fun.

When we stayed at All Star Sports I was prepared to be disappointed since we had only stayed in moderates or deluxes before. I was pleasantly surprised. We stayed in the Touchdown section and liked the location. Everything was clean and the staff were friendly. I'd stay there again.
