If we watch the first F! from the Rancho reserved area, would it be possible to make it to GE in time for the fireworks? If so, would we likely be able to find a spot to see the projections that close to show time, or is this a ludicrous idea? Do they play the fireworks soundtrack throughout GE or only in front of the spires?

I've always stayed put in the F! area for the fireworks, so I don't know if that kind of movement is even possible, or if it's complete gridlock in that area.

The first Fantasmic show ends around 9:25 and fireworks start at 9:30. There is really no way to get to SWGE by 9:30 unless you leave Fantasmic early.

There are three sets of projection shows in Disneyland. The first is the one that accompanies the fireworks. You can view that from Rivers of America, Small World, the castle, or on Main Street. The second projection show is Tapestry of Happiness on Small World. The third is Shadows of Memory. It is in SWGE and does NOT accompany fireworks. Fireworks in SWGE have SW related music playing, but no projections. Shadows of Memory is currently at 8:25 pm and 10:15 pm. If you wanted to watch the first Fantasmic and then fireworks from ROA, you should be able to make it to SWGE for the 10:15 Shadows of Memory. Since you are doing the RdZ package, my suggestion would be to take the longer (but much less crowded) route to SWGE via Bayou Country.

This thread is old, but shows the better areas to watch fireworks in SWGE https://www.disboards.com/threads/best-non-ride-experiences-at-galaxys-edge.3948544/post-65571154

Ahh, I didn’t realize the projections didn’t coincide with fireworks in SWGE. Your reply is super helpful, thanks!
