hey, i was just browsing and i wondered if anyone went on their first roller coaster or thrill ride at disney!

Last time i was at WDW with my family my mum went on her first roller coaster, RnRC! at the age of 42!! and she loved it and i mean loved it we wnet on it like 18 times, she's since become a thrill ride junkie and is more fearless than me! She can't wait to go on M:S!

ooh ooh it's nearly sunny here no no really!

Although it can't compare...my 7 yr old's first coaster was Space Mountain, but we are going in 12 days (WOOOHOOOO!!) and we had a chance to go to Busch Gardens before heading to disney and I said no way cuz I wanted my son's first LOOPING rollercoaster (this is a big deal to him since he's had to sit out all last summer while we road these while going to several different theme parks) to be the Rockin Roller Coaster! I'm a huge Disney and Aerosmith fan and I wanted this to be a great memory!! Now, if I could just get my mom on even the Barnstormer I'd be happy!!

My mom does Goofy's barnstormer and she is afraid of most thrill rides. I think that it was the first roller coaster that she ever went on, but she was trying to keep up with her 4 yr old grandson. I have seen her do a couple of kiddie coasters since, but the barnstormer is her favorite and she is looking forward to going on it again in July. Maybe your mom would like it to. ( DM is nearly 60)

We went a couple of years ago with my mom, who was around 55 at the time, and we did get her on Space Mountain and Big Thunder, but I thought she was going to have a heart attack! There is NO WAY she would ride MS or RnRC, but it would be fun to see the look on her face! My DS who will be 8 when we head back to Dinsey this summer will finally be tall enough for RnRC, and he can't wait! Neither can I, since I know what a head rush that first take off gives you!

My older son's first rolleroaster was Goofy Barnstormer at age 4, and my youngest sons at age 2 this past year. My daughter rode rollercoasters at Hershey Park. All of them love rollercoasters.

My first, and one of my only, rollercoaster experiences was in 7th grade on Disney's Big Thunder Mountain Railroad coaster. I didn't want to go on it, but I did because my family was all going. I know I'm in the minority here, but I hated it! Of course, to this day I'm not a rollercoaster/thrill ride person.

My oldest dd's first coaster experience was Big Thunder Mtn on an e-ride night last year at 9yrs old. She got really scared and was screaming all the way through. The people in front and behind us had told her how much fun it was and sat with us to get her reaction. Halfway through she was screaming she hated me...by the time we got back to the station, she was begging to go again. We rode it at least 12 times that night. The people in front and behind us got a big laugh from it.

My middle dd's first coaster was also last year when she was 6. She rode Space Mtn and loved it.

We're going to try the youngest dd on Goofy this year.

What a nice story! One of my fav memories of all time is last year when my DS 7 rode Space Mountain (first coaster) and here is this little thing sitting in the front seat of SM with his hands so high in the air yelling "YEAH!! ALRIGHT!! YEAH!!!" Everyone got such a big kick out of him! I am sooooo anxious to see him on RRC!!! How can I possibly get through the next few weeks until we'll be there!!! :p

Now...RNR is another story. My 9 yr old dd was **really** scared on this ride. She was dying to ride it; couldn't wait. She had talked about it to all the kids in her class who had ridden it. She had planned on getting FP repeatedly to ride lots of times.

We got off the ride, and she was very white and **very** quiet (not a natural state for her...she's a motormouth :) She had planned on getting a I survived RNR shirt, but didn't even want to look in the shop when we got off.

She wouldn't go back and wouldn't ride anything new...like Fast Track.. that she thought might have a chance of going fast. She'd still ride Space and BTMR..just wouldn't try anything else new.

Up until now she was saying no way when I mentioned trying it again. The other day, though, she brought it up and she can't wait to try it again.
