My daughter has made one restaurant request for this trip: Chef Mickey's. It's pretty booked up for the week we'll be there so I went ahead and made a reservation for our first night. Our plane is supposed to land at 4 pm. Do you think there's enough time to get to the resort, checked in and over to Chef Mickey's by 7:55 pm? We'll be staying at either Old Key West or Shades of Green (still trying to make that decision). Thanks!

Yes, if you check in, leave your bags with concierge and head straight to the parks, you should be fine. Or if your bags are arriving via ME, thats even better! they'll put it in your room for you.

I think you could be cutting it close, but assuming things go smoothly and you hire a cab to take you to the restaurant, you can probably do it. I wouldn't chance taking Disney transportation from your resort to the Contemporary.

Should I push it back 30 min? I hate that we'll be eating dinner so late, but the girls are 14 so they'll be fine staying up late. I was thinking this would help them get the "Disney feel" before we actually hit a park in the morning.

I would probably push the dinner back a half hour. You will probably be able to make the 7:55 time but you never know with bus transportation.

That's also expecting your flight to be on time as well as Magical Express to be on time. Usually it's about a 50 minute trip once you leave the airport. If you're staying at Shades - I'm not sure ME runs there so if not, that would be a MEARS shuttle.

If ME, there may be multiple stops on your bus. You could be the first stop, you may be the last. If renting, you may be able to get there a little quicker.

I agree with the other poster, you would be better taking a cab (or driving) from whichever hotel you stay at and to be safe, you may want to push it back as well.

You'd be cutting it close, if you think going with Disney transport to CR is going to be a problem -grab a cab after you check in.
